Maybe that was YOUR expectation of Manny Diaz.

You do see the difference in Manny Diaz tenure and Mario tenure? Or does blind hatred for Mario not let you be objective.

Both show improvement from year 1 to year 2. One shown improvement year 2 to year 3, the other didn't.

Year 3, one lost 3 games by a total of 10pts, and have a #1 Offense. The Other lost 2 of 5 five games by 20, and had the 85# rank defense which was the side of the ball he coached!

Get straight to the mustard, I am not here to change your mind. I am not just going to arbitrarily **** on Mario if it's not justified. With that being say, if he wins less then 9-10 games next year. I will be right there with you the pitchforks, razors and lemon juice.
Oh no, not MY expectation -- it was the CIS expectation that repeated any competent coach should win 10 games in the ACC when Manny was here.

And, NOPE -- no blind hate for Mario -- there was absolute blind hate for Manny from several from the jump because Mario took his job. Like I am with every staff and every season - hopeful, I was hopeful for the investment in Mario, Rad and Zo -- and Mario was disappointing from the jump with a 5-7 start and just terrible losses in 2022, brain dead season killing decision in 2023 and 1-3 to close out 2024 after not addressing the weaknesses on D.

Not less than 9. It is 10 wins or bust in year 4.

1. Jim Leonhard (Former Wisconsin Defensive Coordinator) defensive mastermind, known for consistently producing top-tier defenses at Wisconsin. Does he want to come back?

2. Will Muschamp (Co-Defensive Coordinator, Georgia) proven and understands SEC-level competition. Does he want to jump?

3. Doug Belk (Defensive Coordinator, Houston) ability to maximize talent at Houston, leading one of the best Group of Five defenses. His youth and energy may fit well with Miami’s recruiting efforts and bring a fresh perspective.

4. Zach Arnett (Head Coach, Mississippi State) 3-3-5 defensive scheme and SEC experience would be valuable. His aggressive style could inject new life into Miami’s defense.

5. Brad White (Defensive Coordinator, Kentucky) ability to develop players and construct disciplined, stingy defenses at Kentucky shows he can deliver results.

6. Tony Gibson (Defensive Coordinator, NC State)
experience in the ACC and success with NC State’s 3-3-5 scheme make him a great candidate. His familiarity with the conference would be an asset to Miami.

Miami’s defense needs:
1. A coordinator who can stop big plays and solidify fundamentals.
2. Someone who can recruit at a high level, particularly in South Florida.
3. A coach who can adapt to the modern fast-paced offenses of college football.

Glenn Schumann: guy Mario initially wanted when he got here. May want to be free of Muschamp?

Corey Raymond: as co-DC? Another guy Mario wanted.
Good list if this was search 18 months ago🤦

MariBros who dragged Manny with the same record and far fewer resources aren’t doing the same here now. Now there’s explanations that the rest of us haters don’t understand.

Literally every job making you a millionaire has a buyout contract. Ask Bob Iger and Chaypek.
In the real world I said. Not sports coaches or entertainment executives. My point is, Mario is not above being ridiculed for subpar work when considering the salary and resources he commanded before coming here. Where is the University's return on investment entering year 4? This goof still is hiring and firing guys that he brought in. He can't build a staff. He has shown to be incompetent thus far.

Manny was terrible, He took a 10 win Richt team and it was all downhill. Take out the covid year recruiting, His recruiting sucked . The best lber during the Manny years was Corey Flagg . When he got canned , We had the 71st class in the country a week before signing day. Watch what happens with Duke after Elkos recruits leave ,

In that case, name a job in the real world paying millions of dollars.

So the standard at Miami is: better than a first time HC Manny Diaz...

Say it is not so.

Mario was not brought here to be 22-16 to Manny's 21-15. He was paid a top end salary to be an ACC Championship/Playoff level college football coach.

Exactly. This is some Latin Miami beef between the waring Diaz and Cristobal factions. Take your a*s to FIU with that foolishness. I only care about making Miami national title contenders again. I see the same winning percentage after three years between both of these bums. You both suck!
