Now Heaps and Kaaya switch. Coley yelling at him, "Get it right, quarterback!"

I'd bet Coley really wants to start Kaaya, so he's pushing him hard. It will only make the kid better, I usually hate seeing a freshmen QB starting unless I'm betting on the other team. This time If it's real close I'm all in for Kaaya, he's going to make mistakes but next year it will make a **** of a difference with a year under his belt.

Why do you think he really wants to start Kaaya when Coley sought out Heaps as well? Coley was the one who Heaps spent hours with going over the offense.

Compliance? Heaps did an interview with Rivals about it. If they do it, I'll do it.

I've been calling Kaaya as the #1 for months now. It doesn't make sense to me, unless you think you are going to win the national championship, to start a 5th yr transfer IMO. We need some continuity. Kaaya can be the man for 3-4 yrs. Unless he gets the crap beat out of him it's going to make him better. He just seems to have that "IT" factor in him. Hope I am right.

The players, I think, are starting to lean towards Brad Kaaya to start. You can always tell by the comment and who guys gravitate to.

Denzel, Armbrister collided with Rayshawn Jenkins in scrimmage Wednesday in pass coverage. That's how Jenkins was hurt #UM

Dallas Crawford, who picked off Kaaya in scrimmage, said Heaps threw other pick. #UM

Dallas Crawford said he got his scrimmage pick-six off Brad Kaaya. Miscommunication w WR on a go route.

Heaps needs to be ready to go regardless of what Kaaya does. I think Kaaya is emerging as the one from what it sounds like, but A. Injuries happen B. Injuries are particularly possible with a true Freshman who hasn't had the experience avoiding sacks at this level C. Its possible he won't play well at any given time and might need to be spelled.

Im all in on Kaaya but unlike most here I think having Heaps is useful no matter what.

Kaaya was blown up today had a great opportunity to shine not sure if he took it. However not hearing that Heaps did amazing either soo there is that.

Who starts at LB? Perryman and Grace seem like locks. I'm hearing Armbrister's name more than Kirby.

Kaaya is the future and Heaps isn't separating himself from the freshman. Of course he spent hours with Heaps, he doesn't know the system either. When he brought Heaps in he was probably expecting him to be better than the freshmen doesn't look like he is up to this point. We'll still suffer if Kaaya starts, tough for a kid go straight from HS to starting for a big time college. If Heaps couldn't keep the starting jobs with two lesser schools, what makes you think he's any good?

How many here will trash Golden if Kaaya starts and struggles? 75% of the posters? 80%?

Not one doubt he will struggle, I won't blame the coaches, freshman don't do well starting for a big time school, it is what it is. Next year will be different though. If he's the best we've got, you play him, it's starting to look like he's the best we have.

Maybe Lawson is the future. Maybe its Jack Allison. Who is the right now? Thats all any of the players on the team care about. You think Duke, who won't be here in 2015 cares about the future? Chick? Denzel? Flowers? Who is better right now. Pick him and start him. "The future" stuff is tired and doesn't matter. Heaps couldn't keep the starting job but somehow won the job twice. How did he do that as a freshman? Maybe he was given the job like some here apparently want it given to Kaaya? Who cares if Heaps is the better player through fall camp, right?

First group DLs running the 4-3 third down: McCord-Kamalu-Chickillo-Muhammad. Backing them up: Harris-Pierre-Thomas-Muhammad (again).

I've been screaming for that 4-3 alignment for a while. The backup crew is not half bad either.

I,m wondering if this 4-3 experiment may evolve into the surprise of the year. Staff must feel good about the DT position.

If in his fifth year heaps cant separate himself from a true freshman how in the world could anyone want him to start, i mean kaaya hasnt been here longer than him and is getting alot of positive reps. I mean would just say that two teams gave heaps a look and a go and opted for lesser experienced players.

It comes down to who can manage the games better....play calls at the line, audibles etc.....Kaaya clearly has the superior skillset, so it's about the other nuances these guys will be judged on. I would prefer the freshmen be worked in slowly this year with him coming into his own about 3/4ths into the season. I'm paranoid after the Kyle Wright shell shocking.
