DAY 5 PRACTICE THREAD

It's very obvious when WRs don't listen to a QBs calls... Kaaya has their attention when speaks. Good sign. Yearby looks great

Can you give us an update on how our kickers are looking? Have heard next to nothing about how our kicking game has been looking these past 5 days.

Curious about the UF transfer punter and whether any of those walk-on PK's have the ability to unseat Goudis..

Malcolm Lewis is going to have a nice season. Probably the most consistent wr this fall from what I'm
Told
The competition at wide receiver is just insane. Great to hear about Malcolm Lewis though, loved what he brought the first 4 games of 2012.

@Ale_Narciso1: "I have no idea if he's a freshman or not, acts like a senior....he's been extremely accurate"-Coach Coley on Brad Kaaya @TheStateOfTheU

Jamal carter looks good. Less thinking more reacting. He was taking two steps In the wrong direction last year at practice.

Heaps also impressing with that bomb to Malcolm. It's encouraging to see (what looks like) two legitimate options at QB instead of just one guy sucking less than the other. Awesome to see that Kaaya looks like the real deal, and also awesome to see Heaps playing well too. Of course, this is all based on the very limited info available for us fans

What will everyone argue about in today's practice thread?
I'm going with what was in Kehoe's breakfast burrito this morning.
SMD reports the burrito contained egg, bacon, and cheese. Ferman posts story. Turns out to be sausage.

Tomorrow, Susan asks Al:

"Al, are you concerned that after it was reported yesterday that Art ate a egg, sausage, and cheese breakfast burrito his stool actually was found to have contained traces of ham and spinach?"

@ChristyChirinos: #Canes OC James Coley said it seems at times like Brad Kaaya is 30...mature, not making freshman mistakes.

Matt Porter
‏@mattyports James Coley makes it pretty clear Jake Heaps and Brad Kaaya are ahead right now.
It's pretty difficult to go from likely game 1 starter to 4th string afterthought in such a short amount of time. I'm curious to see if Olsen sticks around.

They need to focus on the top two men for Louisville. If Heap or Kaaya goes down, the other one needs to be ready. Olsen won't even be traveling for that game. I think they will give Olsen this season to prove his worth. If not I see him transferring no later than December.

Liking what I see from defensive line at Canes today. Also, Kevin Olsen is, shall we say, slightly used in practice.
@timreynolds

It's clear they are trying to force him to transfer. Ofcourse, if someone was suspended for the first game I wouldn't give him other peoples reps either.
