Rusty trombones can still make some noise
My staff is retired and my trombone is rusty. Story of my life.

Blew him away that an “Air Raid” offense can do that lmaoDawson runs a lot of 2-back & H-Back Pistol...
Hence why MC likes his Offense.

I’ve seen a lot of two tight end looks too. Mario’s going to get his share of power sets. There’s a time and a place for them if you want to be well rounded.Dawson runs a lot of 2-back & H-Back Pistol...

It was in the thread "Shannon Dawson is the New OC/QB Coach". In response to this question (page 29 post 580) ...

Article in the local paper this morning about a guy named Stan Bedwell that will be conducting an air raid offense clinic at a local Marriott hotel in little Bristol, VA. Apparently, he’s a Hal Mumme disciple and an expert on the air raid offense. Both Hal and his son Matt are both expected to speak.
Additionally, Bedwell is going to establish a permanent clinic in town at a yet to be determined site. He’s already held a clinic at one of the local county high schools and was invited back to teach it at the middle and elementary school levels. Bedwell said that after visiting the area, he decided to move here from CA and establish his clinic here.
Dana gets so mentally messed up on game day .... one "bad call" against his team and he is mentally "occupied / ****ed off" for the next hour at least. Man is a legit nut job. When UM played WVU in the bowl game in Orlando ... there was a "no call" on what he thought was defensive PI ... and he must have broken 4 headsets in 30 minutes storming up and down the sidelines. It was hilarious.I watched half the 2022 SMU game last night, and the announcers were all over Dana's teet, as were the cameras, and at no time, when it would be the time, did I see Dana look like he was calling a play in, nor did he have a play sheet in his hand. Just more ancillary evidence that the whole thing is BS.
Not gonna lie, the play calling and execution looks like trash, just doesn’t look crisp… and im trying to be optimistic with this hire. At least his overall scheme is less [bonkers] than Gattis so im sure we’ll see improvement. But I’m nowhere near as optimistic about this hire as I am with Guidry
He nearly gave himself an aneurysm against us in the bowl game lol Thank god we beat those pricks.Dana gets so mentally messed up on game day .... one "bad call" against his team and he is mentally "occupied / ****ed off" for the next hour at least. Tried to post the article but it comes up behind a paywall. I don’t think being an active coach was a requirement. You may be able to search Bristol Herald Courier and find the article.European football legend
Thanks for sharing that I may look into attending it if they don't require active coaching

I think you'll be surprised at how all of the suddenly our WRs start making catches downfield. Simpler scheme = less thinking = fewer drops. Usually. Hopefully lolGot any of dem Southern Miss/Houston WRs?
He was ****ed that they had to play UM "a bottom feeding team in the ACC" as WVU had a 10 win season and Miami barely made bowl eligibility ... but ... after a full quarter and a half of being ice cold (couldn't basically compete a pass) Kaaya put up 21 points in like 4 minutes and WVU fans were stunned at half time.He nearly gave himself an aneurysm against us in the bowl game lol Thank god we beat those pricks.
That was a BRUTAL 1.5 quarters for us though haha I didn't think we were ever going to cross the 50 that game. Blink of an eye and we were smoking them.He was ****ed that they had to play UM "a bottom feeding team in the ACC" as WVU had a 10 win season and Miami barely made bowl eligibility ... but ... after a full quarter and a half of being ice cold (couldn't basically compete a pass) Kaaya put up 21 points in like 4 minutes and WVU fans were stunned at half time.
WVU thought they were going to smoke UM and the 21-7 half time score had them totally stunned ... as did the 31-14 final. Kaaya was on fire ... too bad he had virtually 0 mobility or he would have made it in the league.
