David Lake's 247 article on OC options that Mario should consider.

David Lake mentioned Phil Longo. Is there actual smoke with him and Miami, or just throwing his name out there? I would be all-in for that. His last 4 years at UNC and Ole Miss have been some of the best offenses in CFB, also runs a balanced offense that Mario would want. Longo + TVD would be explosive. Even though UNC has beat us the past 3 years, Miami would be a step up for Longo and now we could give him a big raise over his current $900k salary. I’d be excited for this.

Lol Dak Prescott. I get it. You don’t like him but he’s an elite oc. I don’t expect everyone on staff are going to big recruiters.Most coordinators aren’t big recruiters. That’s why u need position coach that can recruit.

He’s throwing out name. He did a solid job of hitting everyone and anyone. I’m sure he picked some that aren’t an afterthought and missed some too. It’s a good read

Didn't know tee martins son is committed to playing baseball here. Would be cool to get Martin here in some role.

I honestly haven't really thought about tom herman because I didn't think he would come here but he's the best option if possible

my updated list, no particular order after herman at #1

He’s a pure recruiter that they made OC because somebody else would have to steal him as a recruiter.

Like back in the day when Spurrier kept having to begrudgingly promote Ron Zook out of fear of losing him as a recruiter.

That got him championships and status as their greatest head coach ever, before urban. Not exactly a fail fwiw

Mullen is a fool, but the man can coach. Do not want, but he’s going to succeed as a coordinator always.

Wilson is an interesting name. Guy knows his stuff. Rumors at IU he had a drinking issue and difficult personality. He also was terminated in large part due to controversy over mistreatment of players/mishandling of injuries. Not sure if he would fly here given some of these issues but definitely a good offensive mind.
