David Lake's 247 article on OC options that Mario should consider.

O/c Miami SHOULD hire. Transfers Miami SHOULD look at lol wtf is happening.

I trust their opinions less than I trust their sauces. Just a bs wishlist for clicks

I never understand this logic. No offense hits on all cylinders without a good QB.

Sure. But there’s a difference between an offense like Mike Leach’s. Where he just needs a QB with a pulse and he’s going to give you decent productivity. Give him a really good QB and it’s putting up video game numbers.

And an offense like Petrino’s at the end of his Lville run. Where if it didn’t have Jackson, it couldn’t even be average.

Makes you think that there are so many options. I hope that Mario just stays tight to Miami area having dynamic playmaker types. Get a person who can really maximize simpler college game. Please.

Don’t try to be the NFL.

Belichick was recently talking about why he has had so much success with undrafted CBs. His main point was that a successful NFL corner is a different player than a successful college corner.
This ties in a little bit with some issues I have with recruit rankings and projections

Often it’s how does the player translate to the NFL

Now I’m not saying that doesn’t matter, but shouldn’t we weigh how successful we think they’ll be in college? Maybe I’m nitpicking but it’s just something I’ve noticed over the years following recruiting

Bingo! Know what you need for you. Crazy that coaches at the highest level recruit coaches and players that don’t fit.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I'll hijack this thread. Can one of you articulate--and somewhat witty--porsters create a "Week In Review" thread for all the crazy **** that has happened since this time last week? Good weeks should be immortalized by a super thread. Everything from the Cristobal hire, to whose assistants are coming with. Clemson getting cannibalized, Jimbo losing DC (implications for our 2022 matchup), Kenny Pickett slide rule fix, Gators' not-so-enthusiastic hire, FSU weird-flexing. I know I have missed a bunch of stuff.

The best week this University has had in decades deserves a Sunday-to-Sunday recap.

Would you all stop with the Mullen crap? There is a reason Miami threw him out the door after five minutes when we interviewed him way back. He's a weirdo. There is a reason he was dumped with prejudice at UF. There is a reason no legitimate outlet or insider here has mentioned him for OC here, even once.

He's an arrogant, goofy, lazy, poor recruiter who is a bad evaluator of QB's. He wasn't even going to play Trask but Frenks got hurt and forced his hand. You all really think that he's a good fit with "relentless, all-in" Mario? WOW. You are not paying attention.

We're in the season right now, we'll do recruiting after the season – when it gets to recruiting time we can talk about recruiting." - Dan Mullen

“Incase you missed it” should include the Gators surprise home run hire. He’s got Corey Raymond, is after Sider and Tosh is on deck with Urban’s eminent dismissal. The guy is locking up Louisiana and going to be a problem in the panhandle, central and northern florida, Alabama and the west coast. He’s KILLING it and has credibility that no one saw coming. We have Mario, but with LSU’s stupidity, they will thrive.

Thought is does the coordinator make the qb or does the qb make the coordinator. If a coordinator blows up with 2 different qbs then you have some good data.
