I think this is better in the long run for RU..They where rushing a HC search which is never good thing to do

Under the circumstances, Cristobal would have been a good hire. Schiano really humped Rutgers. Still think it will be Flood as the interim and then look for a head coach next fall. How the flip does Pernetti become the AD at Rutgers? All he ever did before Rutgers was television.

We all know that means he WILL be the next RU coach.
 
I don't know if Flood being the interim helps us. Most of the staff then (if not all of it) will remain, which Hamilton might want.

I was kind of hoping with Mario declining the HC job they wouldn't get one in til after NSD. Oh well, Its certain Hamilton chooses Rutgers now.
 
Its certain that Hamilton chooses Rutgers because they made the oline coach the head coach?

Hopefully Hamilton has some quality adults in his life that can point out to him how poor of a head coach selection this is.

This "situation" seems to be flipping by the hour. Hard to believe Florida would be out of it but that definitely would help us if true.
 
I think he is going to Rutgers now with Flood.

Yeah so many times you have all this round and round only to have a kid end up where everyone thought in the first place.

A few of the scout guys have changed their tune about him but I am preparing myself for Rutgers.

Its gonna be Rutgers IMO. All the people who he built relationships with will undoubtedly be retained. Its a panic/rush/save the class hire for sure, but what else could they do? Whatever happens, I'm still proud of the staff for battling for big-time kids when we are where we are as a program right now.
 
Did Schiano take any Rutgers assistants with him to the NFL?

Well, even if he was I guess he'd wait to poach those coaches after NSD.
