2025 Dallas Wilson now wants out NLI and wants to sign with IF

Did I mention Oregon at all? You're moving the goalposts.

This isn't a monumental loss for UM but it is the 4th basically 5* UF has gotten from the state of Florida that we were heavily invested in recruiting.

The harsh reality is that the SEC/B10 take 90% of the top recruits now.
I mentioned Oregon because this situation is currently an Oregon-UF situation.

With the familial/agent ties Wilson has with Brown and UF, you think this surprise opt-out could have possibly gone Miami's way?

If Miami signed Wilson earlier this month, and the news today broke that the kid wanted to opt-out then I'd agree with you that this would be terrible for Miami. Today's development has nothing to do with Miami.

Other question is this.

Let's say Wilson (.9859 rating) is to get $1.7M from the Gators.

Let's use some other hypothetical numbers:

Incoming freshmen
  • Vernell Brown III (.9757 rating): $1.0M
  • Naeshaun Montgomery (.9294 rating): $0.7M
  • Muizz Tounkara (.8739 rating) : $0.4M
Retained players:
And let's say players in the position room begin to compare numbers. Wilson's "salary" clearly outweighs Vernell Brown and Naeshaun Montgomery. It's also well above the three four star returning wide receivers on the Gators roster.

This creates either pressure from one or more of the other players to get their salaries increased. And since resources are finite, that's less money to use for other position groups.

Conversely, if Florida does not raise up the salaries of some of the other wide receivers, we could see some of these players enter the spring transfer portal.

Pretty sure badgers a SR and not returning

That's a bad look for you then.

He'll be released from his commitment, they won't want the bad PR.
I think they got screwed in the playoff bracket but they need to win this year because they are apparently going all in withMoore at QB next year and I dont think that kid is leading them to an NC next year.

Lanning stuffed in a locker? Or does that only go for Mario?

UF offered him crazy money last minute. This is a problem now that it’s no longer loi. Until they step on campus and enroll, it’s fair game.
The unnecessary lengths you go to defend Mario make you a joke. I think the bigger indication is Oregon now will take another portal WR. Good defense though champ.

tech UF did some illegal stuff. there is no NLI but the agreements they do sign are binding and prohibits contact by any other school. its the same document.

the only difference between the two as far i as understand it is that there is no deadline that there used to be to return the NLI

They got one in Vernell Brown, but I think we dodged a bullet here.
Hanks is the best recruit in that class. that's the kid I wish we could have gotten.
Brown seems like a good kid. I dont hate on those kids for follow their fathers path.
Wilson, ill reserve judgment on but he put himself in a bad spot.

The Guidry damage is done. It really doesn't matter at this point. Mario isn't font to fire a coach while prepping for a game. You're yelling at the clouds.
my point is I know Mario's flaws. I do not think he's urban Meyer lol. there is just some stuff this board goes overboard on.
The guy took over a program that has had toxic culture for 20 years. it's different than the situations some other coaches have walked into.

the kid can sign packages with multiple schools. So if he is released from NIL and he already was given a package by UF on signing day, he can go as far as I know. its a now sided commitment.
Cool but what made you say Lanning got stuffed in a locker off this one kid being wishy washy

he cannot.

theyre signing a binding agreement BUT the diff is the deadlines in returning the document back to the school.

once they sign wiht a school, no other schools can contact them. its not the old FAA that they used to sign. its a bit more binding than that.
