DAILY DEBATE: Who was your biggest disappointment in Miami history?

Yeah, Willie Williams. For that kind of talent to take the elevator all the way down to the NAIA where I played, Goot Lort son!

And even when I played, the NAIA got quite a few guys wash down from big programs. I played with guys who came down from Oklahoma and Rutgers. I played against a guy in the KCAC who was pro bowler and played with the Falcons for years, Roland "Bay" Lawrence- could have gone anywhere. He ended up going to a small Mennonite school, Tabor College, because his mom wanted him to play with his brother.

I don't know. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. When people talk about when Miami was good they don't even go all the way back to 2001. They go back to 2004/5 when there is still elite talent on the team and every one of them was recruited by Larry. He was the perfect coach for his time.

By the numbers he's one of the all-time greats. Also by rings. Most of his bad years with players he recruited would have been considered a great year for Mario. No losing seasons. He played a tougher schedule.

I'm not defending him I'm just saying that by every rational metric he is the best coach of this century.

Best player by far in the HS AA game and practices. I remember seeing him as a high school freshman and knew he’d be special down the road.

**** thats dope! Dude was special he was criminally under used here!!!! I always think about if we had Jeff with King, Cam, Beck! He literally left the year before Lashlee came. He was frustrated and should have been suprised he stayed tbh and wish he would have gotten a chance in a real offense
