DAILY DEBATE: Who was your biggest disappointment in Miami history?

In order:

1. Kyle Wright
2. Willie Williams
3. Marcus Fortson
4. Lance Leggett
5. Leonard Taylor
6. Jade Silvera
7. Robert Marve
8. Tate Martell
9. Aldarius Johnson
10. Anthony Chickillo
It’s a shame what coaching did to that 08 class. Tate overall has to be the worst. Was the only player among them that was literally unplayable.

Another honorable mention: Tommy Kennedy. Kid got some hype in the portal, and within a week of actually getting on the field staff realized they’d completely whiffed.

Seeing a lot of Kyle Wright on here for "most disappointing."

Is this because of the circumstances surrounding his career here, or his actual performance? I will agree that he was a disappointment for me as well, but not for his performance. Not saying he played up to expectations, but he wasn't as bad as everyone thinks. I'm also not a huge Kyle Wright fan, I just get tired when he's put in the same category of qb's as Kirby Freeman.

Kyle redshirted his freshman season (2003) and then was a backup to Brock Berlin his RS freshman season (2004). He was starter his RS sophomore season (2005) and played very well. Season ended on a disappointment, but he was one of the top qb's in the ACC. Lot of high hope for the next season.

Started the 2006 season, but did not play very well. Didn't help that we got a new OC that year and Coker had obviously lost control of the team. His best receiver, Darnell Jenkins (yes Darnell Jenkins was our best WR that year) also got injured early in the season. Wright also got injured later in the season. I think he missed the last 4-5 games. Overall, Wright did not play very well in the 2006 season in the games he played. Still better than Freeman could ever dream of playing.

2007 saw Randy Shannon as our new HC and everybody's favorite, Patrick Nix, as our new OC. Now, Wright is in his 3rd full season with 3 different OC's. Wright didn't even start the beginning of the 2007 season. Kirby Freeman was the starter. I'm not sure if Wright was still recovering from the injury or Shannon/Nix just preferred Freeman. Well, Freeman sucked so bad the first few games, Wright eventually replaced him and played decent. Not saying he played awesome, but he wasn't terrible. Had a winning record as a starter. He then got injured again and missed the last 4 games of the season. Yeah, as you can imagine, we lost those last 4 games with Freeman playing.

Wright wasn't good, but his last 2 seasons were pretty much derailed by injuries. His overall career was definitely a disappointment. No argument there. I feel he was really dealt a bad hand by injuries, bad coaching, and lack of talent in WR department.

He is my pick too. The only Wisconsin kid I can remember going to Miami so I had really high hopes. Those Oak Creek teams produced a few kids who made it to the NFL (Brian Calhoun RB and Travis Beckum TE off the top of my head).
You must be from around the area. I played against Calhoun in high school and he was ever bit the part. They got a kid JJ Chapman who went down to prospect camp last year with my buddy and a few other kids. They are ALL canes fans so if they ever get on the coaches radar they are definitely on commit watch. Lol

As a player: Alan Hall and Ty Moss

As a human being: Warren Sapp
Sapp?

Didn't we have a crazy linebacker or 2 that like r*ped a chick or some ****? A player that killed a teammate? A few players that were whipping their woman's head?
A player that beat a student to a bloody pulp?

Like, I get it. Sapp is an asshat and jerkoff but listing him as a "human disappointment" over MFs like Rashaun Jones and Eddie Johnson is just an insane way of viewing things bruh.
