Would Chad Thomas qualify??? I mean is there anything besides music that anyone remembers him doing???
100% yes.

He was one of the highest ranked DE's we've ever signed.

In fairness to him, Folden had him playing out of position as a 5-tech in a 3-4. He played much better in Diaz's Defense his final 2 years at Miami, but was still very underwhelming.

For the sake of asking what happened to Eddie Johnson??? Dude looked like a straight merc and then he's gonzo.... I don't remember how his story played out....

He got kicked off the team after being suspended multiple times for fighting & a bunch of other off the field indiscretions.

He went JUCO, then transferred Virginia Union (which is a DII school), then after that was never heard from again.

Chad Thomas didn’t turn out to be Michael Strahan. But he was still a solid contributor and a key defensive starter for that 2017 10-0 run. Doesn’t seem like he belongs in the list alongside a bunch of outright busts.

He was a 5-star with a 98 rating & the highest ranked DE we've ever signed in school history.

Being a solid contributor isn't what a 5-star with a 98 rating is expected to be.

Never was an All-Conference player & only played 1 year in the NFL.

He definitely was a disappointment compared to how talented he was. He absolutely underachieved. His problem was he cared more about music than Football & never really put much effort/dedication into his craft.

You all know I’m a big Jeff Thomas fan…I gotta say him. Wasn’t all his fault tho. OC sucked and the QBs he played with absolutely sucked too. Then add in Jeff being a headcase as well. I really thought he was going to be the next great WR out of here.
I wondered when his name would show up... man.

My miami history is short compared to others in here, but the natural talent he had was a joke.
