DAILY DEBATE: Who is the most overrated team in the country?

Usually I would agree as I despise all things Notre Lame but not this time and trust me it pains me to type that. After a questionable start, Marcus Freeman has done an excellent job in South Bend. What I find somewhat surprising however has been his ability to consistently recruit at a high level. He has loaded this team up with great talent and he's beginning to stack. By all accounts, Freeman has put together a very good staff. I forget who his OC is but Al Golden has done a great job as DC and in revitalizing his career. Looking at NDs defense under Golden, it quickly becomes apparent that Golden's defense involves a heck of a lot more than chanelling Al Groh. It will be very interesting to me when he decides to go back to being a HC and what schools would be interested. His fatal mistake here was tying his career to that buffoon Mark Donofrio.

Plus they will be hit with sanctions from the NCAA and their new HC is in trouble. He will be hit with multiple Level 2 violations.

And their schedule this year is cake. They don't face a team with a pulse until Oct 12. 3 "tough games" the rest are crap.

I think jedd had a lot to do with their offensive success and they will take a step back without him.

I like Brennan but I think he needs time to get his own personnel in there.

And right now, they're a 8/9 win team at best.

Utah is not winning 10 games this year.
 
The bloom will be off the FSU flower week one. They’ll have their hands full.
 
Can't go wrong with Penn State and FSU is way too high up with a whole new team

That's fine though. My point was only who cares if they don't go 11_1 or 10-2 so long as the team and the coaches are realistic about their expectations this season then I don't see an issue with that. Honestly they're not ever the most talented team. What they are is one of the most well coached teams.

Have you learned how bets work since the Baylor elite 8 one you offered earlier this year? Because simply offering someone $500 just to disagree with you isn’t exactly a wager. I love action, but those terms aren’t sporting enough for me. I’ll do it for 10:1 odds (ie - I’ll wager $50 against your $500) though.

PS - the only thing I know about Utah is that their Cam is almost as old as our Cam.

It's free money if someone is willing to take the bet.

All my bets are one way, if you're right you get the money, if you're wrong you don't have to pay me anything.

People don't take the bets because they don't actually believe the sh*t they say. Hence why I issue them in the first place.

Um. Okay. If I understand the terms correctly - I risk absolutely nothing (other than my internet pride) on Utah winning 11 games and you risk 500 American dollars, to be paid if Utah wins fewer than 11. I accept.

I will retroactively agree to your Baylor terms as well. And any other time you are offering to give away free money, please send me a dm.

It’s Texas A&M to me. I like Elko and think he can make them an Ole Miss level team where they are in the 8-15 range every year but they lost a lot of talent on that roster and I don’t think they will be any good this year given their schedule.

Oregon
UGA

Those to me are the 3 clear favorites for a title and I think in the end OSU gets it done.
