DAILY DEBATE: Who has earned more playing time through two games?

fair ...
but fletcher has made plays and finished opportunities for touchdowns ... showed nice burst also ...
I'll disagree on the "nice burst" part.
He's a short yardage back. I'm fine bringing him in when we are in the redzone, or just need to hammer some yards away during a drive.
But Martinez needs to be THE GUY. His vision and patience is by far the best on the team. And Martinez's best counter puncher isn't Fletcher, its going to be a Chris Johnson or even a Lyle, who actually does show nice burst. And my problem isn't even that Fletcher is getting in, I understand the rotation, but he doesn't need to be in entire drives. Against the FCS/G5 opponents, okay. But not P4 opponents.
Chris Johnson touched the ball like 3 times, one was a TD, and another was a big KR....

To me Fletcher is solid. But THIS year we have Martinez. Fletcher is just similar but not as good. Maybe next year Fletcher will be the guy. Chris Johnson is the type of back that opens up/diversifies what you can do offensively though. He fits what I'd like with a Thunder and Lightning backfield.

Not all of us. There is a reason UM gives the ball to Flectcher in goal line situations. There is something special about a guy who can run over someone, go under the pile, and finally jump over the pile when you need a yard or a TD.
Redzone is 1/5th the field. The "goaline" is <1/20th.... What you're saying is how we should use him for sure. How many snaps has he received?

mentioned earlier, the writing is on the wall, CJ will get a few big opportunities in games
its a weapon similar to the way the chiefs got Worthy the ball Thursday, 3 touches, 2 Td's

WR: I personally think Brown is going to prove his doubters wrong and light it up this season. That said, you cannot play favorites. He blocks well but his receiving effort is suspect. So deserves fewer snaps that get distributed elsewhere until he maximizes his targets. I personally think Horton is getting enough snaps already, and Ray Ray hasn’t earned more snaps, so I want to see more going to Jojo and Carr.
Elijhah Badger > Sam Brown

What has lyle shown against p4 competition that makes you confident in saying that?

Fletcher has grown on me.

That said, #'s 41, 18 & 8 on defense need to play more.

Definitely Emory Williams.

His camp performances alone should have him as QB1 once we start ACC play.

Elite talent.
I get the sarcasm. What I don't get is why. Nobody ever said Emory was an elite talent. People have asked why he hasn't played in mop up because out of the 3 backups he is clearly the best option. Out of Emory, Poff and Anderson, Emory is clearly the best option of the three right now if God forbid Cam went down. Making that assertion is not the same as saying that Emory is some elite talent.

In the off season we say we need to stack chips. During the season people cry about rooms being crowded. Can’t make this up LOL!

Start Zay Horton this week.
More Blunt and Scott as time goes on.
More Zay Patterson.
I want to see JoJo with Cam a few series moving forward. Less Ray Ray.
Swap Stafford for Richard

Bonus: Throw Robby in the fire this week and let him get baptized by fire. We may have another Sam Shields situation due to his athleticism.
Agree on all points. However I thought that Zay Horton had been starting. I think Horton has played very well thus far. Seems like everytime Cam escapes the pocket that he finds Horton wide a$$ open! Personally I think Sam Brown will get it together but we are deep so he better not wait too long.

I would love to see Ny Carr and/or Jojo Trader in with Cam Ward once in a while just to give those kids the live reps they need and to create more experienced depth. Ray Ray has not stepped up in his opportunities at WR.

I'm all for seeing more Armando Blount at DE and more Justin Scott at DT again to get them live reps so they can develop. These two just ooze with elite talent. It pops off the screen!

More Moten and Horton as well. We need to develop these younger DTs.

Cole McConathy didn't wow me but he's a true freshman with plenty of time to develop.

I can't wait until Bain is 100% healthy and back.

Have to shout out Jaden Harris as he has been the heart and soul of the secondary. Meesh Powell has been a solid steady leader out there thus far but Zaquan Patterson was electric out there when he got in. He made this play on the ball out of nowhere and a friend of mine and myself just jumped out of our seats saying "Who the heck was that"? Definitely want to see more Patterson going forward.

I don't know when Damari Brown is coming back but I hope it's soon because I can't take much more of Jadais Richard at Nickel or anywhere for that matter. Richard clearly isn't ready yet. More Robert Stafford and more Robbie Washington please! Heck, bring on Ryan Mack and Dylan Day as well. We need to create more depth in the secondary.

fair points ... i did think he showed nice burst on the first td run against uf and the swing pass he caught ... but i think the fanbase in general want to see chris johnson

Clearly the best option, based on what?

Certainly more snaps than just short yardage, I think 16 in the FAMU game. My point being that he has great value.
