DAILY DEBATE: What is the scariest game on Miami's schedule?

#1 has to be UF. It's game 1 while we are trying to break in a good amount of new guys, we're on the road in what is universally recognized as one of the tougher places to play, it's an instate rival, and we have the hype machine in full swing with eyes on us. Win that game and I think we could be in for a really special season. Lose that game?..... Let's just try not to lose that game.

I actually like that it’s on Friday.

The home team record in mid-week games is very inflated. Being home makes me feel better about it.
I'm very glad it's at home. While I don't love the short week, I do think a night game on a Friday lends itself to a very good crowd for us. If we go in undefeated, which I certainly hope we do, it will be an insane atmosphere.

@UL after traveling to Cal and a bye week. We have 1-2 wins after bye weeks over the last 10-15 years.

Uif easlily IMO, you can't continue to "win" the offseason and then **** the bed. On paper we should beat them, but that's on paper...

The game against the Gator at the Swamp. We are fortunate that it is a 3:30 kick.

Second to that is the Cal game.

I dont follow the scare of Cal. Some of you don’t travel enough to realize the time zone change doesn’t hurt us unless the kickoff time is after 6pm PST. Heck, espn could make them kickoff at noon est which helps us.

They don’t exactly have big crowds with an average attendance of around 40k last year. I could actually see that tank as the old pac rivalry games are gone.

Cal isn’t an acc blue blood so we shouldn’t worry about insanity regarding refs.

As a proud of Cuban I can only add that instead of showing up 10 minutes late we will show up 30 minutes late and use the workday as an excuse

Sporting events are the only thing my people show up to ahead of time.

Scariest as far as quality of the other team is FSU clearly.

As far as importance to the season, it’s UF. Losing that game sends the season off the rails from the jump. The negativity around the program would be next level.

Exactly, and It's a Friday night game.. Short week (never seem ready for those), As menmon said they match up well with there style of play, Dynamic QB, first conference game (Mario is 0-2 in conference openers); Old Rivalry game and I hope we dont wear the black out uniforms this game lol but I could see it. Also, they are flying under the radar a bit, this is a sneaky game that I'm most nervous about. Drones is also close with Ward, So I'm sure he will be extremely motivated for this game..
Yesssiirrr @Memnon @Brains ✅🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

VT always struggles early in the season too .. Rutgers and Vandy games didn’t matter .. this was gonna be tough regardless … looking To bounce back strong vs Cal
