DAILY DEBATE: What is Miami’s final record this year?

Regular season is 10-2 if/when we beat UF or 9-3 if not.

One loss is a given just because of how unlikely running the table is. **** near every college team that's ever played has lost a game they shouldn't. Mario's teams certainly have.

Then there's Mario's record in road games. At the P5 level, he's 14-14 in regular season road games (9-9 at Oregon, 5-5 at Miami). I'm not gonna include FIU. But.. he will not his career above .500 on the road because of FIU.

10-2.

I've been hurt too many times to believe in 11-1 or 12-0. Even if we beat UF. I'll be expecting 2 dumb losses somewhere.

10-2

Lose 1 of our 3-4 games against formidable opponents (UF, VT, UL, or FSU) and another 1 that we never should have lost (USF, Cal, GT, Duke, or Syracuse)
Better not be the VT game! That will be my first game at Hard Rock and I'm bringing my daughter, who I've taught to be a big time Miami Hurricane fan! So it's her first game as well. They better show up

I think the home game makes the difference there. We need a good crowd.

VT can play. They're probably 2nd best in the ACC and right behind us in terms of caliber of QB/RB/top 3 WRs. Weaker OL and weaker in the trenches overall. But definitely explosive and the QB run element is dangerous.

So much of it depends on who is healthy. We can beat any team on our schedule, but we can probably lose to about 5. We're probably more talented than any team we play, but not so much more talented that we can take anyone for granted or make mental mistakes, or afford injury.

But I think this team is dialed in and the culture seems much better. I think this team has taken on Mario's personality and Cam Ward's personality which is night and day from what we've seen before.

In the past, Miami would consistently beat itself. I don't think that happens anymore. So barring injury...

My prediction - we go undefeated. 12-0, ACC champs, and we lose to a more talented Georgia or Ohio State team deep in the playoffs because the core of this team is still pretty young.

Not doing it. Every year they seem to **** the bed when I choose to think we are going to the playoffs or even the ACCCG. I'm just going to sit back and see how this plays out this year. Hope for the best expect the worst type situation

11-1 Lose at UL . Beat NC St in ACCTG . Make Playoffs as 3 seed. Lose in playoff semifinals to Ole Miss. Ole Miss vs OSU in title game . Sadly OHIO St wins title.

10-2

I think while it seems on surface the schedule eases up this year, its a sneaky tough schedule.

@UF is a very tough game. Its the opener, they arent coming off demoralizing losses, they are a home dog. They have a solid QB. Its Miami's first game with all these new pieces. I'd feel much better if Miami had FAMU then Ball State then UF.

VT-Return like everyone. Good atheltic QB good defense.

@Cal- long cross country trip between VT and Louisville.

@louisville-2nd toughest road game, good coach.

FSU-Right after Louisville, Rivalry game.

@GT- improved team like VT, built different with explosive offense.
You had me until you said GT with an explosive offense. Good, sure. Explosive? No. 8-4 ceiling GT.

8-4, 7-5 until we get through to Lousiville unscathed, then 9-3 or 10-2 BC Mario and injuries.

Paper tigers until 10/19 at the latest. Lessee it.
