The reason I feel ok about the new faces is that we have scheme continuity. Both coordinators are back. So not only are their coaches on the field teaching. But the players from last year are on the field teaching the new guys

Fun facts:

-Since 1936, 56 teams have won every game in a single season (no ties). Alabama has 5 (one with Covid), Notre Dame has 4, Nebraska has 4, Oklahoma has 4, Miami has 3
-In his 17 seasons at Alabama, Nick Saban only had 4 undefeated regular seasons (not counting Covid year). He only had one season being completely undefeated (not including Covid).
-The Florida Gators have played football for 113 years and have never won all their games in a single season

If we beat the Gator, we lose at most 1 maybe 2 games with a small chance of going undefeated going into the ACC Championship game.

If we lose to the Gator - the meltdown will be epic and the recovery to respectability will be brutally slow but then we go 11-1 :)

Going with 12-0. Schedule works out wonderfully for this. 2 losses on this schedule is a fail, especially if that keeps us out of the ACC Championship. The Gator game doesn’t kill us in that regard, but it does take the program off schedule because of its impact on perception/recruiting.

We are a beaten down fan base.

On paper this team is very very good. Maybe not OSU/UGA level but that next tier down. I dont know our record and stink at predictions. But like others I think to keep momentum we need double digit wins, some easy wins where we just bury a team or two from the jump, acc champ game appearance, no bad losses. Like the kneel, 2 TD plus loss, etc...losses would be what if games...like Ward has a subpar game and we dont overcome it or our defense gives up 1-2 big plays and we lose a nailbiter. I'd love to say playoff appearance but I think at worst a really good bowl win.
