DAILY DEBATE: What adjustment do you want to see against Wake Forest?

Coverage was fine. It was the run defense that sunk us. Got to set the edge and tackle.

Combine that with simple zone coverages and cut the stunts, we should be better.

Come on, man, they threw the ball 16 times. That's kinda the definition of "small sample size".

Look, they had 99 yards of passing. But 69 of those yards came on big plays of 27, 16, 15, and 11 yards.

When our defense actually stopped GaTech's run on first and second down, late in the game...WHEN IT WAS OBVIOUS THEY NEEDED TO PASS...that's when they hit their biggest passing play of the day...

It's not like our DBs had to do that much. Defend SIXTEEN passes. It's not that hard. And it was so obvious, 2/3 of the passes came from the second stringer, because the first string QB was injured. Haynes King only threw the ball 6 times for 32 yards, so we LITERALLY could have sold out for the run EVERY SINGLE TIME HAYNES KING WAS IN THE GAME and we would have "guessed right" all but 6 times.

Pathetic.

Couldn't stop the run.

AND we couldn't stop the pass on the rare occasions they actually attempted any. They went 11 of 16 passing. So our "coverage" managed to stop exactly FIVE passes all game long.

Pathetic.

Not to mention that we had DBs completely faked out by "the thrreat of a pass" on the last GaTech TD. Why were we even delusional enough to believe that GaTech would pass in that situation? Happened right in front of me, and I was in the 2nd row.

Pathetic.

maybe their brains dont explode whenever someone goes into motion.

offense continue to do what theyve done all year. they need to be on the field so no more 10 min deficits in time of possession
I'd bet real money on porter getting motioned across the formation first play of the game

I want to see more of those little wr screens,we seem to hit about 4 or 5 a game for 3 to 5 yards. If we double the attempts maybe we can finally gain over 10 yds total.

Set the edge… stop stunting the Dline leaving huge holes.

find some new wrinkles with the running game other than a bland up the A gap behind the center run over and over… do that or just abandon it and let cam win the game with his arm because that ain’t gonna do it with teams crashing down the middle not fearing anything on the edges

@DMoney You're my boy D but I've got to keep it real. Adjustments? What adjustments? This staff doesn't make adjustments! They do what they do on both sides of the ball and they basically repeat it every single game.

At this point we are what we are and it's all about execution. I'm confident that the offense will get back to executing. The defense? Bahahahahahahhahahaha.

- Defense that is symmetrical on both sides so motion doesn't cause too much extra thinking for the defense, limit situations where 1 player has to be perfect or else a major bust happens

- Play Lofton and Arroyo together more, continue to run over light boxes and do it at tempo if you are worried about the game shortening, flex the TEs out to run the Spread plays when the 2 TE package is in and pressure the defense's ability to have personnel in the game that can handle both the run and the pass when the 2 TE package is out there in no huddle.

Ajay Allen on kick and punt return, also more reps in the 1st half.

More Elija Lofton, more TEs period, all of them.

Defense: everything that’s been previously said.
