DAILY DEBATE: Should Francois Mauigoa move to guard?

Agree with "whatever gets the best 5 on the field" but specifically, since this is not a development year, doesn't work if he is fine at OT for most opponents but is committing holding penalties and having trouble with speed rushers in the 3 or 4 big games where the team is challenged and can't run over the opponent.

Just imagine how much higher he would be as a guard.
Yeah I've been saying it for over a year now. There's absolutely no way a bonafide 1st round talent that's started every single game at RT is going to say "sure put me at Guard during a potential draft year."

Doesn't mean he doesn't get some snaps there barring some injuries. But to think a potential top 10 pick is gonna just willingly cede a Tackle spot to play Guard is insane.

IF we had more options at OT then I could see him moving inside to get the best 5 playing. However I dont see better options on the team.

When it comes to OL, I just don't worry about this stuff. Mario and Mirabal know where the pieces fit together best.
