Get the numbers excuse out of here, people. We're bringing in a three star from Virginia with no position for a visit this weekend.

No ******* way. And it's only a gnat's nut hair's of a chance more likely that Golden and Co rolled the dice on forcing the kid's hand to commit. You think Barrow would let that go down? My ***.

If we didn't have numbers, Kirkland would be no where near the first to be cut (unless it was obvious that he didn't have the grades). We just took a commit from a dam punter yesterday! We got random LB visiting this weekend. This sh*t don't add up. Has to be grades.
 
And YET, it could be that this is EXACTLY what Harris said.

We are out of room, and needed an answer. Harris has been trying to STALL for Kirkland, by telling our staff that the kid is going to commit. Staff said, ok, when they went to the school, they asked him to at least silent commit, or for some assurance that they should hold his spot, and he balked, and jerked them around. Barrow figured the kid was ******** around, or they thought he was maybe trying to see if he could squeeze us and they said "see ya". Harris got ****ed because he figured he could still get the kid to commit, but we decided we werent going to let him jerk us around anymore. Maybe Harris feels like they didnt trust HIS assurances that he would come.

Tough call here. Staff had every right to pull the scholie. If Harris is saying he's going to commit, and the kid wont give Barrow any assurance, then he's not any sort of commit. And it has NOTHING to do with NSD. Miami would not have have forced him to PUBLICALLY commit now. Just give the staff a silent assurance that he was in. Sounds like he didnt do that.

What does he have to risk? He's a HS corch who corches some great talent that he can send anywhere. There's really no downside to unloading on UM. A lot of the guys down that way are still bitter with UM because of Shanntard getting greased. Look at Uncle Puke. That dude claims to be a big UM fan, yet he does a hatchet job publicly on UM every chance he gets.

It's a little odd that Shanntard hired Ice, and when Al came in there was no job for him. Now, he's going HAM on UM and Al. They might have been working together in a sort of begrudging fashion where it's all smiles publicly but not so much behind the scenes.

I doubt a man with a degree in sports psychology who's job is to convince people to come to our school then garner their trust and develop them into men and players would make a gaff like 1+1 = potato. This isn't numbers. This wasn't a miscalculation. There is something bigger picture happening and this bad press and outlash was a calculated risk. Not saying its all good, just saying the staff is not a group of idiots. They knew this could happen when they pulled the ship, they took that chance. There's a reason and its not because they're stupid.

Somebody is lying and it isn't the Miami Coaches.
I know I'm going to get a lot of crap for this, but everyone is saying BTW is a feeder school to Miami, but
other than Brandon Harris, Davon Johnson and Ice Harris as a community liason the same time his son committed to Miami,
has BTW sent anyone of note to Miami.
I don't think since Golden took over.
Does this coach Ice Harris actually really help us more than he helps say the FSU coaches or the UF coaches or even the FIU coaches?
I know Thomas and Kirkland are outstanding recruits and next year they have some studs, but objectively speaking how can we really call BTW a Miami feeder school?

I wonder how much money Ice Harris makes at BTW. He's not a teacher as he doesn't have a degree, so he must just be a football coach.
Gatewood says he makes $3100/year to coach football. Even if you double that amount for Harris that's still not much.
I wonder how Ice Harris makes a living.
Just speculating that there are other more nefarious things going on behind the scenes.

And two...he has a son playing in the NFL making millions of dollars.

Very unusual to pull an offer this late.
Of course we only get one side of the story so who knows what is really going on.
Then again it's such an unusual recruting year that anything is possible.
Can't remember a year where there is so much uncertainty with this number of recruits this late in the process.

The honey moon is over. Golden just blew it big time. Ice Harris said what lots of people are thinking. Just two kids from Miami? And now he blows a relationship with a coach from one of the biggest high school powers in the country? I am extremely worried about nsd. What must 6 be thinking now?

Ice is crying about 2 kids from Miami, yet when Barrow wanted to make it 3 Kirkland wouldn't commit. How is that UM's fault? Too much double-talk going on from Ice.

The way this is playing out, its actually the most likely scenario. Someone asked for money, and Golden had to pack it up and yank the scholie. Only problem with this is why would Harris put us on blast for that?

IF we pulled every scholarship from recruits who were being offered money by other schools we'd be recruiting pure scrubs.

And as Ice...and every other recruiting site was already saying....KIRKLAND WAS ALREADY COMING TO MIAMI. Why the **** would we pull a scholly from a kid who was already coming here regardless because he wanted money?

Im **** serious. How long have you been following recruiting? Do you remember the Dwayne Bowe situation? Bowe's grandmother flat out started talking money to Butch right in the kitchen, and they had to get up and roll out. With the NCAA sh*t hanging over our head, if someone on Kirkland's side asked for money, Golden almost certainly would have to pull the scholie and cut contact with the kid. I DONT KNOW if that is what happened, just saying, the abrupt and sudden way this whole thing has gone down, has the feel of that kind of situation.

That's what HARRIS is saying, but when Barrow asked the kid, he would NOT commit. If he was coming, then why wouldnt he tell the staff? It has NOTHING to do with NSD. He could have had his big ceremony, its not like the staff is going to broadcast that the kid committed or was going to commit. MAYBE.... the kid or his family were trying to squeeze something OUT of the staff in exchange for him committing now, and they walked away. Have you thought about that? And how the **** does Harris know what the kid was going to do? If everyone was so sure, then why was the kid jerking Barrow around?
