I don't usual post local crime, but this one was funny to me....

According to authorities, an unknown person forced their way inside the Physician Assistant Studies Program site and stole a TV. Police say the suspect was found sleeping in the building Sunday by an IC employee, then fled the scene. He’s described as a Black man in his 40s with a thin beard, between five foot seven and five foot nine, and was wearing camouflage pants, a white t-shirt, black combat-style boots, and a black kitchen apron.
Criminals these days DGAF about being caught and they just fall asleep where they steal stuff! LMAO!

One NYC subway death per 0.8 months this year! Think about that for a sec… that’s just deaths… almost 1 per month. Then there’s all the beatings/assaults and robberies that have increased dramatically

That’s 1.25 deaths per month.

I was going off of 8 subway murders in 10 months (although we aren't done with October yet), but maybe I missed something in the article.

But this comment from the article tells a lot about the NYC subway crime ...

The three recent killings are an acceleration of the post-COVID trend. Since March 2020, 22 New Yorkers have been violently murdered on the subway (and a recent fatal knifing on a Bronx bus makes 23 on transit overall).
Through 2019, by contrast, it took nearly 13 years to accumulate 22 subway murders.

At least a dozen police officers were shot last week amid a spike in anti-police violence, as the nation's largest police union connected the violence to anti-police policies and messaging.
"Since Monday, at least 12 police officers have been shot," the National Fraternal Order of Police tweeted on Thursday. "The spewing of anti-police rhetoric by some political and media figures as well as the failed policies of rogue prosecutor and judges are placing our officers in greater danger. This culture of lawlessness must stop!"
With 56 police officers killed by gunfire so far this year, the United States is on a pace for the deadliest year for officers since 2016, according to organizations that track violence, the Associated Press reports.

I misunderstood because you said it was one deaths per .8 months. not a big deal, not a big difference. Anyway, it’s still too many.

Regarding the Whitmer fed-napping case. Not even Esquire is siding with the feds.
OMG that is a long article... gonna try to read up on that tonight as I'm interested. Did you read the whole thing? If so, is it worth the read? It definitely seems in depth... which has peaked my interest

Fact based opinion piece essentially. Was pretty well done IMO. Makes some good points that most people don’t think of.
