I’m excited for Floridas class to drop into the 20-25 rankings come mid November and then fall outside the top 25 in December when the checks bounce

I never got to that level though lol.

Thinking of all this I texted a few friends “ It feels like we’ve taken some haymakers and got staggered, a little rattled , but we’re getting our legs back “. Meaning we’ve been hit a few times but have weathered the storm and I expect some bombs to start landing on the opponents going forward. Lightfoot stopped the bleeding and imo JoJo will start some momentum to carry us through July. Adding key players and a possible flip.

There’s a reason I’ve said for a couple months “ let’s talk after July” , that’s because if you’re struggling going into August the forecast is looking dreary for the class. I also know Mario tends to turn things up during this period. Just like last year.

I‘ve never bought into the top five class stuff but I still believe this can be a good class especially with a good finish to the season. A big season could open a few highly rated guys eyes and could give them something to think about late.

We‘ve already landed one power shot this week and I’d expect some more before the week ends. In the words of Rocky “ I didn’t hear no bell“.

The way our momentum is shifting, its crazy to think how good our chances are with the following: lock in 2 of Jojo’s former Ravens teammates plus an athletic Panhandle 🐳 who fell in love with us on his visit. Then seal the deal with Franklin at the BBQ end of this month. Throw in Jeremiah if we win and this offense delivers…we could be sitting real pretty 👀

I have to agree, despite the outcome, it was the greatest. The two best welters of their era at or very near their primes, contrasting styles, legends in both corners. It's right up there with Ali-Frazier I in terms of a big event that lived up to, actually exceeding expectations. The rematch was **** near as good in terms of pure action. I hope that Spence-Crawford can be anything close to either. I got Bud in a classic, close one, by the way.

thanks for the update @Cribby , that was the fix we all needed. Agree we lost out on some guys but to see all the mopes come out doubting the one thing we know Mario won’t fail at was a bit premature. I’ll never understand the overreactions of people seeming like they want Mario to fail but that’s for another day.

I also have a feeling that little sound bite out of Norman, OK is gonna have that man working overtime to flip some dudes from there purely out of principal.
