Couple Updates

Chise, the kid has the quick burst to get to the edge, but also has the long speed to take it the distance and not get caught from behind. Lots of highlights of him outrunning dudes with angles 30 yards down field. Impressive.

Ran for 2600yds and 39 TDs this past season.

Don't see why you'd put him anywhere other than at RB

Sean Taylor was a great RB in HS, and it worked out pretty good to put him at S.

yeah but sean had a lot bigger build on him than this kid and certainly thirty more pounds coming out of high school. but to your original point you're right about making the switch.

There's a good chance he'll be a db or wr. I just hope he plays offense, even though he's small I'd love to see him in the backfield some.

We were also absolutely loaded on offense at the time and not so much at safety. Right now we are pretty stacked in the secondary, with reinforcements on the way, and looking a little thin at running back.

Told ya'll boys about Edouard. Hometown kid that loves his school, AND he's a QB. He will be the Duke of this class rallying other local talent to come join him. This will be HUGE.

I like this Elder kid at RB, we don't need him to touch the ball a lot, but 5-10 carries a game could give duke some rest and give defenses another RB to worry about going the distance.

How many guys on our roster can you legitimately look at and think "every time he touches the ball he could score" ?

Duke.

Now adding guys like Coley and this kid and you have some potential home run hitters out there with maybe Dorset joining the fold as well. Fingers crossed.

Goes great with Gus, too.

A kid that people keep sleeping on is Alin rb there at Hialeah... Bussey... this kid is going to blow up camps and his senior year... seen him in person a few times this past season... Kid is electric with the ball in his hands... And by the way... Alin is for f***ing real... Just needs to get coached up on his mechanics and do some film study.... But he plays faster in person than the video...

21st century version of Leonard Conley.
Which is a very good thing.

I liken him more to Al Shipman.

Kid is a much better football prospect. He'll be football only in no time.

Froggy Shipman was one of the fastest dudes I've ever seen on a football field. If this dude's like Froggy, then he's going to be unbelievable. Remember the year where Pink Erickson had that incompetent slug Dave Arnold corching our special teams, and our entire kick coverage unit consisted of Froggy running down kick returners and preventing touchdowns? The kick returner would bust through the intial wall and appear to be on his way for a sure TD, and out of nowhere a blur (Shipman) would appear to make the tackle.

He didn't last all that long here, but he was one of my favorites during his brief time at UM.

I went to school with Al. He had turf toe much of his senior year in high school, so a lot of schools had no clue how fuggin fast he was. I still think he's the fastest player in our history.

I can't remember ever seeing a guy that football fast on our team. I really loved that dude and hated that left early because I thought he had a chance to blow up.

Good to hear. I hope he balls out and gets that offer. I always hate it when kids like this never get their chance to be Canes.

i see your point here, but sean taylor was also a little bigger than 5'11 and 165 pounds.

On a separate note...I think we should all be excited by how many athletes and other players that can be moved around Golden and co. were able to bring in this year. Will allow us to throw several different looks on offense in the coming years and adding tremendous speed to our team

I think it would be safe to say that Sean's move to safety also was because of a somewhat congested backfield. There were some decent players playing running back for Miami at the time.
