Couple Updates

[Peter Ariz]

1) Just exchanged messages with Alin Edouard and he says that he is considering committing to Miami. I asked him when he would know and he said, "HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF THE DAY YET."

2) 2013 ATH Corn Elder (4-star ATH, #157 on Rivals) just committed, but this looks like a basketball commitment. He's a 2-sport athlete who has always wanted to play basketball in college. If he wants to play football, I would imagine the coaches give him an opportunity, but his heart seems to be with basketball.

I agree that he'll probably try to play both sports, but it looks like the football staff wanted him and that he'll sign an LOI sometime today.

Just curious, why hadn't we heard about him for football? Was it assumed he was focusing on basketball?

He's one of those true born and raised, ride or die with the canes now he is a top athlete and i thought hew as going to sign with another school but he always wanted to be here as his dream and even last week i asked him on twitter why he hasn't commited to us and he said he as waiting for an offer so i guess the only issue was the basketball and i guess they found a common ground, anyway you look at it this is an outstanding signing

Well that's why it's surprising to me about him saying it's for football. I have a friend who follows Georgia Tech recruiting closely and they were confident with their chances on him because he was saying he wanted to play basketball and they were giving him a spot.

I am guessing he will play both. If he is going to play both the scholarship goes on football anyways.
