The list of guys who play corner, yet have the ability to score from anywhere on the field is as long as the equator.

I say leave him at RB/Slot for the year, then evaluate his performance based on personnel. We have Duke (leaving after 2014), Crawford, Yearby, and Edwards. Dillard may or may not turn out good enough to replace Mo, so Edwards may move to that role. Meaning we have Yearby as your #1, and Crawford as #2 after next season. Unless we get a guy who has instant production value in the 2015 class, we're going to need Elder badly at RB.

Ray Lewis will get a shot at RB too. I think Elder should definitely get a look on offense, but we need help at cb.

Think we need more help at RB, especially since it would pain me to see Duke taken off kick returns.

But you ain't speaking nonsense, kid could probably do both

Yeah for me right now I like the CB depth chart better then the RB depth chart. Outside Duke its pretty questionable.

I like Gunter, Howard, Crawford, Burns at CB and we still really don't we have in Dortch and Hope who are RS Fr.

DeAnthony Thomas was too small to play RB too, which is why USC and most other schools recruited him as a CB. Oregon realized that some guys are just too good with the ball in their hands to not take advantage of that. If Elder is electric with the ball in his hands, you get the ball in his hands.

Elder's not going to be a prototypical RB, nor was he recruited to be that. If Coley is a good OC, he will utilize Corn in a similar fashion as Oregon uses Thomas. Line him up in the slot, at RB, out wide and get him touches on handoffs, end arounds/sweeps, screens, quick passes and deep routes.

The chances of him being a CB are going to be extremely low if his high school playmaking ability translates to the college level in a similar manner, say, 70% as good as Thomas' transition. Although Thomas is faster than Elder, they are very similar players in size, stature, and playing style.
