FSU spent big money on legal fees and took a lot of arrows to have a path out of the ACC in a few years.
Miami spent zero on legal fees, took no arrows, and now has the same path out. Not to mention the fact the new unequal revenue share bodes well for Miami considering TV ratings are a big component.
I must be missing how Miami came out on the wrong end of this compared to FSU/Clemson.
When Rad got to campus, Miami, Clemson, and FSU were already talking about how unhappy they were with the ACC media deal. The plan was for FSU and Clemson to be loud about it and go public, shake things up, and push for more info on the TV deal with ESPN.
With all the lawsuits, schools leaving the conference are getting better exit deals. Meanwhile, Miami played it smart, avoiding the PR mess and saving money in the process. We will not be in the conference in 2030. Mike Ryan is spot on with his take. But hey, believe what you want.
These people that have no contacts inside the Hecht that think they know what is going on, but they have no idea what has happened behind closed doors. The U has come out of all this with everything they could have wanted and didn't have to spend big money. If these so called know it all's can't see that, so be it.
