Earlier in 2022, I made a post where I dropped a big hint “Miami was working behind the scenes” but I can’t find it. I was actually nervous when I hit submit but the train was already moving and it wasn’t going to damage anything with the process lol.

USC and UCLA to B1G

We need to GTFO of the ACC like yesterday. Dan uses his connections to work with Clemson and get us into B10. That would be an incredibly fun conference and would immediately compete with the SEC as the top conference. Miami, Clemson, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan...

Obviously, I have not seen the GOR, and I can't speak to the reason why the UNC AD made these comments, but I have yet to see any contract that is so ironclad that it can not be breached in any manner.
As the disparity becomes more pronounced it is inconceivable that movement will not occur.
