I haven't either. I don't think ESPN has announced if they are opting in for the rest of the ACC contract. I believe they have until next month. That is the 1st big hurdle.

Balderdash..

Hopefully, the NFL is planning to create a real farm system. Give the NCAA something to worry about, as they have a complete monopoly on players 17-21.

Paying players is great, until another business comes along and does the same.

There is no rule that says a semi-pro has to represent a university.

This is why the G League, Overtime Elite, and other International leagues are in business.
Terrible take. Nobody gives a **** about the G league?

You do a fantastic job of this all on your own with each porst.

Just when your thoughts couldn't be more subtarded, you achieve new levels of sub-70 IQ with the next.

Impressive work.

We deserve to be in the Big XII if we are being real.
"Deserve" is a strong word.

Again, the future of all conferences is murky going into 2030s really.

While SEC/B1G are dominant today, that doesn't mean they will/will not be so tomorrow.

I do strongly believe they dismiss/ignore Yormark the Destroyer at their peril though.

I think it was Flo who explained UMs plan, and I believe he’s right —- ACC teams will hang on by fingernails until until 2030, which is when a bunch of tv deals end (big12 deal for sure,
I think one of the P2s as well). UM expects there will be a megaconference after that and we get an invite. Not getting out of GOR unless espn lets us, but there is so much more $$$ in a megaconference it lets the acc teams switch. Going to be like AFC/NFC. One network gets the ACC/sec traditional teams, other network gets B1G/Big12 teams or some other mix n match.

Most realistic hope is ACC annoys espn enough that it increases the payouts through 2030, and with performance based revenue splits (plus non network playoff appearance payouts), the top 4 ACC teams can theoretically make almost as much as Vanderbilt.

Question - Does Sankey and the SEC show so much concern over the fact ND lost a day of prep and request the playoff change the date of their game if it was Texas vs. ND instead of Ped State?

Is the real concern the B1G may have both teams in the final and deal a blow to the "it just means more" SEC persona? Possibly 2 years in a row of no SEC member in the final and 2 straight years of B1G national champs. Just an observation.

Why would ESPN increase the payouts if they don't have to? How could the ACC annoy them? It looks to me like ESPN holds all the cards. They determine whether to continue on with the current agreement by the end of next month. If they agree to continue it, the ACC is locked in till 2036 to that TV contract. What could the ACC do?

I have taken the Water of Life and survived.

The superconference is the future.

- Not sure about day of prep issue, multiple threads to pull on that sweater
- I believe Sankey views ND already as de facto member of B1G
- I believe Sankey doesn't like what he sees at all with no SEC Natty Champion...because that is their birthright...
- I believe the rush to 14/16 format might have lost some momentum as Fiesta Bowl was not a sellout...Orange probably not either...but TV revenue probably big $$$$$
-- Do Bowls just go buh-bye for playoffs and higher seed gets home field game until Natty?
