In all honesty, a lot of it was probably due to the Pop Tart marketing. I know a lot of people on here don't like it, but I have friends and family who are very casual college football fans who were excited to see what happened with the live mascot toasting.Must be due to that huge Iowa State audience
Agreed. As much as I am not a fan of corporate marketing, they are good at their jobs.In all honesty, a lot of it was probably due to the Pop Tart marketing. It’s already 5 in a wayI don't like it, this will negatively impact high school kids. 4 years aligns with a degree, they should stick with it.
That actually could happen and wouldn’t be a bad thing, if the ruling is quick enough.Cam McCormick might get another year!
Well, they have to set somethingWhy are there any limits to eligibility? It’s as arbitrary as the year sit out rule for transfers. It’s going to get challenged at some point, and after that you’ll have certain players spending a decade playing college football or basketball.
At some point the NFL is going to stop looking at CFB as a partnership and instead as competition, as player salaries escalate to the point of near parity with the NFL. It will be interesting to see how they respond.Well, they have to set something
Hope they address Medical Redshirts too
I assumed this was in addition to a redshirt year but might be wrongIt’s already 5 in a way
Doing away with Redshirt year

Isn't this what the XFL is? Though it's not affiliated with the NFL.Hopefully, the NFL is planning to create a real farm system. Give the NCAA something to worry about, as they have a complete monopoly on players 17-21.
Paying players is great, until another business comes along and does the same.
There is no rule that says a semi-pro has to represent a university.
This is why the G League, Overtime Elite, and other International leagues are in business.
Does the NCAA have a pension program? That actually could happen and wouldn’t be a bad thing, if the ruling is quick enough.
