One can recognize that the program is also built on smoke and mirrors, there is NO INFRASTRUCTURE there. That's the issue. We've seen this play out multiple times in the Portal era. Remember Mel Tucker? I remember when Mike Norvell was the hottest thing going. I can go on and on and note that the sustainable way to build a program is the polar opposite of how Deion is approaching it and the success probabilities of this working are in the toilet. Deion will likely lead CU to 10+ wins this year, with two Top 10 NFL draft picks on the roster. The issue is that when you look at next year, the cupboard is bare.He took over a team with 1 win and got to 8 and has two of the most exciting players in the country, but y’all still hate the entire state because of Deion living in your head.
And unlike Lane Kiffin(Who is flawed in his own right), Deion isn't some high end scheme guy, nor does he bring in high end coaches to cover for his shortcomings. He is a CEO type that honestly, doesn't do much but polish his own brand and his kids'. Part time coaches don't win in big boy college football, at least not long term.
