Tears Colorado Tears

He took over a team with 1 win and got to 8 and has two of the most exciting players in the country, but y’all still hate the entire state because of Deion living in your head.
One can recognize that the program is also built on smoke and mirrors, there is NO INFRASTRUCTURE there. That's the issue. We've seen this play out multiple times in the Portal era. Remember Mel Tucker? I remember when Mike Norvell was the hottest thing going. I can go on and on and note that the sustainable way to build a program is the polar opposite of how Deion is approaching it and the success probabilities of this working are in the toilet. Deion will likely lead CU to 10+ wins this year, with two Top 10 NFL draft picks on the roster. The issue is that when you look at next year, the cupboard is bare.

And unlike Lane Kiffin(Who is flawed in his own right), Deion isn't some high end scheme guy, nor does he bring in high end coaches to cover for his shortcomings. He is a CEO type that honestly, doesn't do much but polish his own brand and his kids'. Part time coaches don't win in big boy college football, at least not long term.

Cam went for 350 and 3 tds in a 5 point loss to GT. He went from 1 to 4 in Heisman odds. Hope they keep that same energy….
Well the fox commentator ended the game by declaring Hunter the winner, so I wouldn’t hold your breath 😭😂

They’ve won two games against teams with a winning record in two seasons. They beat 6-4 Baylor and 6-4 Texas Tech. The Pac12 disbanding and Colorado moving to the Big12 really helped them out.

And Cam had better stata last game than this one. Who cares they penalized him for the loss and they won't say jack about this loss and Hunters Heisman odds.
My brother, I’m with you, I’m just explaining their logic. Cam fumbled the football and turned it over with the game on the line. He also makes some cornball decisions. Voters notice that stuff. I mentioned earlier in the game thread that even NFL notices and it’s not a coincidence that Cam is starting to fall in some mock drafts

Fair enough.

Are you pretending the Pac-12 was a good conference? I don't know how any of this would diminish the results. Mario is 10-1 in the ACC do you care that the conference sucks?

Last year the he Pac12 had 14-1 national runner up Washington. 12-2 Oregon. 10-3 Arizona and four teams with 8 wins.

The best team in the Big12 this year is Arizona State.

The ACC is pretty crappy but it’s nowhere near the big 12. The best big 12 team would be the fourth or fifth best ACC team.

Would you be hyped about Miami dropping down to what’s essentially a G5 conference and winning 8 games?

Not only has Colorado dropped down to a much easier conference schedule, they don’t even play BYU or Arizona State in conference.

Pac-12 was a great conference last year. Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Oregon State, USC and UCLA. They had 3 great teams in the conference and a bunch of 8 wins teams. Last year I had a lot of fun watching them over the other conferences

I wouldn’t put too much stock in that. it feels like Fox has bought stock in Dion in Colorado since he arrived there. The Heisman voters can’t be that stupid!

I'll ask again since I didn't ask any of that. Are you of the belief that the Pac12 was a good conference? I'm aware that they had a year far above their standard in 2023. We can look at the same Arizona team that won 10 games in the vaunted Pac 12 that won't even make it to .500 after making the same switch. The problem is that it wasn't my question.

It was a good year but if Colorado had Arizona,Washington, USC, Stanford, Cal and the rest of the mighty PAC12 they would have struggled?

Ohhh I see what ur saying. All of those teams outside of Oregon have taken a step back this season. Colorado already whooped on Arizona and Utah who are nowhere near the teams they had last season. UCLA is awful this year.

Exactly, but if you just throw out some random **** like the big 12 is a weaker conference, most will just blindly agree because they hate deion. If you want to have a real discussion, have it make sense.

The discussion is about Deion Samders and Colorado. He wasn’t there three years ago or ten years ago or 28 years ago. Colorado had to play good teams last year and went 4-8. They don’t play any good teams this year and are 8-3. He has two career wins against teams that finished with a winning record.

Regardless, even if you want to talk about the PAC12 before Deion, that conference was consistently better than anything in the current Big 12.
