More meat riding for a player that is average playing two ways.
Average? Average players aren't ranked number 1 in their class, play at a high level on BOTH sides of the ball in P4 football, and have NFL scouts drooling over the possibilities of what he could do in the NFL, on either side of the ball. Have you seem some of the plays he's made this season? Don't let our hate for everything Deion, blind you. The kid is better than Average. Heisman? Naw. IMO, he doesn't have the stats. Because he's smaller in stature, he could get to the league and be a complete Bust.... but as of right now, as a college football player, he's a good deal better than average. He's playing **** near the whole game. His rest comes in the form of special teams. That in itself, is special. We all have our opinion, however.

Funny story. In the early 80's my brother took me to wrestling at the Miami Beach Convention center and James L knight Center. So being young I actually thought it was real. Then my brother scored 2nd row seats and I saw Dusty Rhodes against Black Jack Muligan. He had Dusty in a headlock and I saw something in his hand like a small dime bag(LOL). Well when he got out of the head lock he had wiped his forehead with the bag and all of a sudden he had blood all over his face. I looked at my brother and said "did you see that" and he looked at me and said now you know the truth. Never went to another match again. I was so bummed. LOL
My father told me that wrestling was fake as I started watching it. However I didn't want to believe it - until I saw WrestleMania on VHS tape. I saw Hogan pounding Bundy's forehead with his fist...and there was air in some of those punches. I rewound the tape and did a frame be frame advancement. Sure enough, there was some air in those punches.

I still watched wrestling afterwards as a fictional artform, like Top Gun, Alien, or The Godfather. I still like it. But those six months where I thought that it was a real sport....that was the most incredible, exciting sport that I have ever seen.

Not as difficult a time as Mario is going to have repeating his. đź‘€
Why? Just compare the rosters and the players who will have 4 or more seasons into college football at the end of the season.

Miami will have 24 with 4 or more years. Colorado has 31.

Wide Receiver:
  • Miami: 3 out of 9
  • Colorado: 3 out of 10
Tight End:
  • Miami: 2 out of 5
  • Colorado: 2 out of 3
Running Back:
  • Miami: 0 out of 6
  • Colorado: 1 out of 3
Offensive Line:
  • Miami: 4 out of 15
  • Colorado: 5 out of 12
Quarterback:
  • Miami: 2 out of 4
  • Colorado: 1 out of 4
Defensive Tackle:
  • Miami: 3 out of 10
  • Colorado: 9 out of 12
Defensive End:
  • Miami: 3 out of 9
  • Colorado: 3 out of 7
Linebacker:
  • Miami: 3 out of 8
  • Colorado: 2 out of 7
Safety:
  • Miami: 2 out of 7
  • Colorado: 5 out of 5
Cornerback:
  • Miami: 1 out of 8
  • Colorado: 0 out of 5
Special Teams:
  • Miami: 1 out of 3
  • Colorado: 2 out of 3
Miami's returning players will less than 4 years next season have an avg composite of .9055
Colorado's returning players with less than 4 years next season have an avg composite of .8775

They’ll just casually brush past this and keep on repeating to themselves, “he can’t recruit, nah, he, he, doesn’t like it.”
No I'm casually looking at their class ranking with signing day weeks away.

I was being a **** when I posted that. He is a great player and will be easily a top 3 pick. The only debatable thing for me is the heisman.

I'm not sure I understand the dislike of Travis Hunter. He's 12th in receiving yards. I get the criticism of burning him out playing both ways, but that shouldn't take away from what he's accomplished, that's on the coaches.

The dislike isn’t bc of him it’s bc of the circus that surrounds him and **** like this. He’s not the best WR or CB in the draft and it’s not particularly close either

Now the question is how good could he have been at either position if he wasn't trying to do both.

the biggest thing for CU now is that they have a potential QB for next 3-4 years. were still searching for ours. its our biggest recruiting weakness.
Tell that to Texas, who signed blue chip recruit after blue chip quarterback recruit for over a decade, only to get middling results. Or Miami, who had a lengthy run of blue chip quarterback signings between 2013 and 2021. None of them except Kayaa were true contributors.

Thats because you only follow stars. We have a QB coming in who dominated UGA but because he's committed to us he's not ranked as high as he should be. What happened to all world 5 star QB at Tenn. this year.
