This is most likely a value play. Kid prob wanted more money and we would rather spend it elsewhere on younger players or other transfers. He was productive and is a very good player. Coaches likely feel there are guys like Horton and Brashard with more upside

I guess all that "the team loves Emory" nonsense we heard from the TVD haters all season wasn't true... our starting WRs obviously don't believe in him if they're waiting to see who our transfer QB is before deciding to leave or stay.

Or maybe it's indicative to them of what Mario plans to do with our offense? Get a dynamic guy like Ward and it's indicating an aggressive offense. Get a conservative safe floor guy and it'll indicate more "bro ball".

You can love a guy and understand as an older player trying to make the league that his growing pains (EW’s) will cost you some money and shine.
