Coaching Staff 12/27 PM Update: Rumph, others

Sounds like Manny wants to do the bare minimum.

We've seen that all season. 6-7. Damned near as minimum as you can minimize.

The fact that coaches are being evaluated now is a fireable offense. You had all the evidence you needed to fire most of the staff before the bowl game. I understand the logic of waiting until after the bowl to pull the trigger but why are evaluations happening now? Do something right Manny. Do anything right.

LMFAO. As if I expected Manny to make the logical move and fire his buddies. Whatever man. DB depth is razor thin, we’ll continue to watch Rumph whiff. No way should anyone aside from maybe stroud be kept on the defensive side. Manny is just digging his own grave deeper.

Rumph won't be around another cycle. Manny is done by early November.

Don't try and lay the foundation for Manny Diaz's failure on the fact he CANT GET ANYONE. He could get someone. If he doesn't, thats a further indictment on him, but its not because he simply CANT and no one is willing to come here.

I said in another thread. USC with lame duck coach Clay Helton was able to get Kliff Kingsbury and after he bolted from the school to take an NFL HC job, hired Graham Harrell and they ended up having an SP+ Top 10 offense and that lame duck retained his job.

Its not impossible. Many respectable OCs could and would come here.

You just have to identify them. That's Manny's problem. Its not that no one will come here. Its that we don't identify anyone decent.

When other teams are not trying to poach your position coaches for head coaching hires or promotional hires i.e CB coach to DC, etc, you know you have some issues and need upgrades at that position coaching wise. It’s disappointing we accept average/mediocre results.

We have THREE defensive back coaches. THREE.

Rumph coached corners.
Banda coached safeties.
Patke coached striker.

NO. there was a rumor banda would be replaced with a better recruiter. one reason was he wanst happy he was demoted and would pursue a DC spot at a mid major.
