I posted this in another thread, but no chance Ed would return here. He's got history. And not the good kind.

I remember hearing this as well. His tenure didn't end well here.

he learned from the BEST DC there was in Sonny....ed just liked his booze....I think he deserves a call from AL and see what his plans are....then again who wants near our program at 9-3 staring at a good bowl game, top 5 recruiting class

I remember seeing that dude out at Hooligans pretty regularly, and he was a disaster. He was constantly picking fights with people and was always stumbling drunk.

He will get a head coaching gig somewhere. If we get a new DC he will be from a smaller school or will have previously been a Position Coach. We got gifted Coley because Fisher refused to give up play calling abilities.

He is has been a assistant Head coach, he has been a D position coach. He has the qualification as much as any other candidate.

If the qualification of being a DC is you had to be one before, then we maybe overlooking many good potential candidates.

Our weakness on D is the DL and LB. Our DB coaching is pretty good.

While it is unknown whether Tosh Lupoi will follow Steve Sarkisian to #USC, it's unlikely Ed Orgeron stays at #USC.

Al better bring one of these guys in and get rid of that failure Franklin.

Edit: Offer Tosh as an DC or get Coach O

I know there is a report Wilcox, Lupoi and Sirmon will join Sarkisian at #USC but I'm not so sure on that yet.

Update:InsideUSC ‏@InsideUSC 7m
A source tells me Ed Orgeron has applied for the Florida Atlantic job #USC

Update: Bruce Feldman ‏@BFeldmanCBS 2m
No truth to the report that Ed Orgeron is trying to get the #FAU job, per source.

You guys. Orgeron is going to be a HC somewhere. Not an asst.
