Personally i'm fine w/ the 3-4 D, if you run it properly which is what Al & Co. r not doing. You can disguise it w/ a 4-3 look, run stunt blitzes, zone blitzes, roll a 4-6 coverage, 5-2 coverage, safety down; point is, you can flex it anyway possible. However, we run this conservative gap integrity bull which is not what the 3-4 was designed for. It was designed to confuse, and abuse the opposing offenses. The Baltimore Ravens ran and run a 3-4 D all day long. The Carolina Panthers along with the SF 49ers run versions of it as well, however the constant theme remains, it's ultra agressive and as soon as the ball is snapped, they run to their assignments immediately. It's the only D that can be flexed in to so many differnt looks, but Al stays in the same bland, react vs. attack mode and that's what's killing us.
