What I don't understand is, how can they look at the results and not think a change is needed? And by they, I mean Golden. I don't care if this is the defense he wants to run, he's going to be the one ultimately judged by the wins and losses. I mean, at the end of the day, you can't blame"freelancing" and "missed tackles" on every team going for over 500 yards against you. Especially when two of them (UNC and VT) don't have good offenses, with one (VT) being horrible. I can't believe I was duped, and bought the lack of talent, youth excuse last year. I mean, it was true to an extent, but we never should have been that bad. We still should have had a defense in the 50s or 60s. A Miami defense should never be 116 or whatever we were last year. This defense, if it keeps this up, will not finish in the top 75 in total defense. So, yeah, they "improved" from last year, but still horrible, especially in year #3.
