I wanted Tim Walton fired in 2007 and I was young 21 yr old then..... you all really got D'onofrio's **** down ur throats so far that u are willing to have a mediocre coach just b/c what he's white like GoldenShowers views or b/c he's Al Golden's best friend who can do no wrong?

I actually liked Walton, and a big red flag went up with me when Randy fired him. Randy scapegoating Walton doesn't have anything to do with the fact that D'Onofrio isn't going to get fired no matter how much you and Dawg bytch and moan about him.

It was Randy Shannon's 1st year and most fans was on his side regardless of how you feel about him now, so you can save the bs, the point is **** near everybody wanted Tim Walton fired and his defense was ranked 33rd nationally.

D'onofrio has been here for 3 years and has never had a top 20 defense..... VT doesnt have 5 star talent across the board and Bud Foster gets it done. Stop being a **** the writing is on the wall, D'onofrio is not a Miami caliber Def. Coordinator period.

I'm not throwing dirt on the players at all. It's not their fault that Randy's mismanagement of the roster put us in this position. They're doing the best they can, and they're all Canes to me. It's also not D'Onofrio's fault that Randy's mismanagement of the roster put us in this position. Bud Foster has been at VT since 1987. Beamer has been at VT since 1987. You weren't even out of diapers yet. They have a well established system in place, which they've been recruiting to for 26 years. Golden inherited a roster full of holes, and where there weren't holes, there wasn't enough talent. He had 2 months to scrape together a recruiting class because Randy was too busy trying to save his **** to bother with recruiting anyone. It takes years to reverse the kind of damage Randy and Coker did to this program.

blahblahblah all this *** **** about roster management **** ur clueless...... it's Coaching at this point, it's scheme and philosophy. Acting like a **** on the field when you got players who can play fast and make plays w/ their talent is a joke simple as that.

A good replacement would be doing what Jimbo did and find a former position assistant coach from a team w/ a very good defense who is a strong recruiter in the South East region and hire him as a defensive coordinator.

Oh I Know.... Travaris Robinson, secondary coach at Florida, from Miami, Florida.

Khairi Clark, Ermon Lane, Dalvin Cook, Duke Dawson, JC Jackson, Chris Lammons, and Quincy Wilson all were recruited to UF by him.
