One aspect of CMR recruiting should really be taken under consideration. He's a devout Christian and makes that well known. That's definitely a positive influence for many recruits and especially their parents. The thing that concerns me is that the effectiveness that had in Georgia was much bigger than than it's ever going to be in the state of Miami. Dade, Broward, and PBC isn't the Bible Belt where CMR has spent most of his time recruiting the past two decades. Sure CMR got some big name FL recruits here and there but this is a whole new ballgame. Richt was slow in making changes to the offense this season. Let's hope he's just slow on modifying recruiting strategies also. He might not be able to recruit south FL like we all want. Maybe some of the position coaches were bad hires also. Yes, I'm calling out Dugans and his Donk.
It's a fact that 1st year head coaches get their best classes at UM. Make all the excuses you want. 1st year guys everywhere get a bump at big name programs. There's a legitimate reason here for concern. This is something we should know for sure next cycle. Bottom line there's no good excuse to lose out on all the top WRs and TEs with the overwhelming tradition of NFL players and the lack of talent on the roster at those positions.
