I told you mofos, certain teams have certain traditions. This passive *** defense is not Miami style. We do not have the talent but let us losing attackng and hitting the **** outa people. I have no idea what scheme we are using btw
Actually, we ran a passive defense when we started our championship run under Schnellenberger. We ran a gap control 5-2 until JJ took over. Our defense was very good. We just executed it very well. I don't know what's going on with this ****. I think we just are feeling the effects of some very poor recruiting years.
That is what I thought. Just don't remember so much space behind the dline and between cbs and WR. It was good enough to hold Cornhuskers to 30 in the NC game. They would score 150 on today's version. But Schnellenberger coached the Fearsome Foursome at the Rams and Joe Willie at Bama and OC of undefeated 73' Fins so he knew a little about both sides of the ball. JJ's 4-3 didn't do well that first year either -- but if got better, boy did it get better. This one, not at all.
