% chances per RW from Grassy

RW's info is usually pretty vague.

Sometimes he's right on his "predictions", but other times he says things that could be open to interpretation so he can never be wrong.

Either way, someone should bring him over to this board.

I dont know RW personally, but he never bragged about his insider status, and his info was usually quite good. He was very private about his personal life, other than he lived in the NE, and attended games in his personal jet.

In all honesty the one I care about the most is 6. To me he's the biggest difference maker on that remaining list from the defensive side of the ball which is where we need the most help.

Simply can't let Thomas go anywhere else. He's the type of kid that just cannot be allowed to leave Dade...especially when you consider he's in our own backyard.

I have always assumed that he is a very wealthy Wall Street guy. There are very few people here who someone does't know off the board. Interested if URs or Tano can tell us more.

What is the definition of insider? The way I see it, insider means he/she is close to one or several of the coaching staff. To get information about multiple recruits who come from different parts of the country you have to be talking to the "central command". Otherwise, how can you get a feeling about all those recruits?
Now, it seems to me that we had the same "insiders" from Coker to Golden. How can that be possible?

Being a big time booster DOES NOT mean you pick up the phone and ask Al Golden, hey body, give me a run down on our chances with those recruits!! If you are respected booster who meets coaches on certain functions you keep your conversation cordial and general in nature. I don't imagine going into specifics with names and chances.

You could get "some" inside information if you are close to someone inside a particular department. But most would not talk publicly about what they know because it could affect the position of who they are close to. I know a lot of stuff that is going on in track but I try hard not to run my mouth on message boards!.

Tano, is this true? If Urs would know him, there's a good chance that Tano knows him. I don't think we're saying anything bad about RW. Other than his predictions above being obvious hedges, many of us just wonder how it is that no one has ever really met him.

I'll also add that he went to Penn.

Other than that don't know much. He always came accross as reasonable, and his information may have been vague at times, but he was never flat out wrong on anything. I remember during the whole Gruden fiasco he kept saying that it wasn't happening.

This is from a former "insider" who was supposedly close to the board. For a bit now, I just found it odd that no one could verify his presence off the board. Nice guy and never had a problem with him, but I just found that odd. Every other "insider" known to the message board communities has at least a few people who have seen him/her in person.

I liked him as a poster on grassy. Don't know if he was for real, but he was clearly a smart dude, not an idiot troll. That was evident from text and syntax.

IF he is for real, he should be on this site, IMO.

But someone has to know him or it's hard to see how he's real.

Agree with the tail number suggestion. Probably public info somewhere.
