CFP Committee Ranking

Don't be surprised if the committee chooses not to penalize teams in the B1G and SEC for losing.

Otherwise, why is Penn State in the top 5? What have they done to EARN that ranking?

Their non-conference wins were:
West Virginia
Kent State
Bowling Green

B1G wins were:
Illinois
UCLA
USC
Wisconsin

The best win on their schedule is the close loss to OSU.

Or how about media darling Indiana? "LoOk aT tHeIr mArGiN oF vIcToRy." **** out of here.

They've played 8 games against FBS opponents. Maryland is the best offense they've played. Maryland is 69th in scoring O.

The other 7 are ranked:
95th
98th
100th
102nd
114th
124th
127th

Ball State's 90th ranked O is ranked higher than 9 of Indiana's 11 FBS opponents.

Next week they get Michigan, who's 109th in scoring O.

They close the season with Purdue, who's 118th in scoring O.

They get Penn State in 2 weeks. That's the ONLY "good" offense they play all year.

They BETTER NOT be ranked ahead of us.

With the first ranking coming out Tuesday, what does everyone think here. The committee needs to prove they are needed and always start their ranking way different than the polls. I think they will say they are not impressed with who we have played and put us in 7-8.

ceiling in this first one is 4...and tbh we may never get higher than that
EXPECT to see one loss teams ahead of us AND 2 loss teams in the 12

IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!

The order still matters for seeding. Not sure what you are missing. The #1 seed typically has the easiest route.
Is likely missing that depending on seeding, Miami may have to go to a place like State College in December.
