With the first ranking coming out Tuesday, what does everyone think here. The committee needs to prove they are needed and always start their ranking way different than the polls. I think they will say they are not impressed with who we have played and put us in 7-8.

Doesn't really matter if we keep winning, but the other playoff teams are going to torch our defense, so hopefully we can just outscore everyone and control the clock if we make it.

Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, Miami. I don't see anyone else who could reasonably ahead of us.

How are they ranking now considering top 4 conference champs are top 4 seeds? Are they ignoring that for now and just doing rankings or are they slotting teams based on projections? Not just top 4 teams anymore.

The order still matters for seeding. Not sure what you are missing. The #1 seed typically has the easiest route.
