2024 CB Ellis Robinson IV

Quick, name me the player on UGA's Offense that is scaring yall to Death???

Honestly, at this point, the potential for them to do damage as an unknown surefire offensive weapon is there. VT didn't come in like gang busters on offense, but almost won regardless. Pretty similar yardage in all their games and we looked vulnerable across the board. Better athletes at Georgia, even if they aren't up to the last few years of production.

They literally punted the ball one time against us.

I don't care one way or another about UGA. Just another team, no rivalry with us, so get out of here with that bit about loving them.

College football is athlete based first and then match-up based. Athletically they're still up there with anyone and could beat anyone as evidenced by almost beating Bama.

Bama did get conservative, but that also doesn't give any kind of credit to Georgia adjusting after Bama flew out of the gate in the first quarter. Bama does that to a lot of teams and they bury them, not let then come back. Bama didn't just sit there and cross their fingers hoping they had a big enough lead.

No answer for whomever on our team? That was the consensus before VT. They don't have some crazy astute coaching staff and almost pulled off the upset. Were you talking the same match up problems, thinking it would go down to the wire? Good on you if you were!
Brody lets not forget that Jawja almost lost to Kentucky so theres that too.

UGA & VA Tech are different types of teams that pose different challenges.

You can't assume that because we almost lost to VA Tech, that it guarantees that UGA would just beat us. UGA almost lost to a much worse Kentucky team & actually did lose to Bama. So what exactly does that say about them?

Basically, you're arguing that you think UGA is just head & shoulders better than us, and that's mainly due to their past successes & not their current roster this season.

Fresh off of being unable to stop VT....

Bama and Georgia are cheeks...

Love this confidence....and day drinking... lots of day drinking in here...
Unable to stop VT? Their kid had under 200 yards passing and we won the second half after spotting them crazy field position in the first a couple times 24-7.

The narrative around our defense is wild and we've played more games than other teams.

I don't think our fanbase appreciates how **** hot it was out in Tampa to immediately turn around and play another scorcher here. Kids were tired. It showed and they still shut VT down when it counted.

It is what it is.

Nathaniel

It would come down to cam and mario not getting conservative. Id only be worried about the the coordinator matchup between dawson - schumman and the supporting staff around those two

Nothing bizarre about it.

UGA doesn't have the same type of personnel to give us the problems that VA Tech did & Bama would. Their Offense is a lot more rudimentary than Bama's & can be contained as long as you stop the run.

The only reason they came back against Bama is because Bama played conservative after they got a 3TD lead & stop putting pressure on them.

Styles make fights & UGA's style is a lot easier for us to deal with than Bama's. A game against Bama would like very similar to VA Tech's, except with better players on the perimeter.

I get it, you guys love yall some UGA so much that you couldn't even fathom the thought of them losing to little ol' Miami, but as I said, on a neutral field we'd win.

They have no answer for Cam, Restrepo, JGeorge, Arroyo, Horton, Brown & company.
Been on these boards for a very long time

Week to week there’s this bizarre phenomenon that happens where people carry over game to game and can’t understand how weird things happen

College football has always been about matchups

I don’t normally watch enough games week to week to comment heavily about other teams because I don’t know their styles and how it fits against us

This year I’ve watched a ton of ball already and we can play with anyone imo

Yes in order to beat, at the moment from what I’ve seen, Tennessee, Texas, OSU I’m still not sold but they’re obviously talented…I wasn’t sure about Bama and Milroe watching the USF game but the way he was making throws against UGA I’d have to put them there….but we would need some breaks. Some turnovers. We couldn’t turn the ball over ourselves

But we haven’t been able to pull off upsets for like 20 years because we haven’t had a QB that can put us on his back (due respect to King who was a beast) with this much talent around him

I don’t know what happens but I’m also glad I’m friends with people that like other programs because Miami fans can be a bizarre bunch. The trauma is real.

If Mark Stoops coaches that game with even the slightest bit of balls, Kentucky wins that game

And Kentucky got stomped by South Carolina but beat Ole Miss

Wait till Vandy beats them and we get to start going cross conference to try and figure this out

If it were 1v1’s, everyone healthy, neutral field or home field, I think we could keep it close. That said once we have to start rolling in the 2’s and 3’s on the DL and OL is where it falls apart. Now if we get to the playoffs and someone like Justin Scott or one of the other young DTs takes a big step forward to give us another legit DT it would go a long way to keeping things under control.

No doubt we badly need the bye week. Just get thru the Cal game with a W and no more injuries and I think we'll see another level of play vs Louisville.

Maybe it’s been asked or maybe it hasn’t. But what effect has the IPF had on our guys losing the hot/humid weather advantage if any? Meaning how much time do we spend inside vs out in the heat and humidity. Heat injuries and fatigue are cumulative if you’re not acclimated to it. And it sure seemed that chasing USF around for 60 minutes carried over to the game Friday. A bunch of guys who were gassed in the USF game looked like they had heavy legs in Fridays game.

Has anyone watched UGA play? Their OL and DL, while adequate, not nearly as physical and imposing as in years past. Never been enamored with Beck but he's a decent QB.

The teams that worry me more are Bama and OSU. Tenn is sneaky scary with that offense. Outside of that, we have a punchers chance against any other team in the CFP if we make it.

Tenn’s defense is really good as well. I agree UGA doesn’t look as imposing in the trenches as years past. Let’s see how they handle the rest of the year. I actually think Beck is very good but he doesn’t have the weapons and more importantly the guy calling plays sucks. Now before people freak out, very good doesn’t mean he is a top pick in the draft.

In-season, they don’t use it much unless it is insanely hot or inclement weather.

I came here for an update and read a comparison between UGA, humidity and Carson Beck’s head size.

Not sure what to takeaway here, I assume this is good news for his recruitment?

Soooooo, he's not hitting the portal? Lol

I don't understand how any of this has to do with Ellis Robinson
