Carson Beck

Are you forgetting that Ward also declared last year before changing his mind and chose to attend at The U?
Different situations. Ward visited Miami before declaring and there were clear indicators that he was interested in playing for us. He was also looking to make a jump from WSU to a bigger program. The Beck stuff is pure speculation.

Why does everyone seem like Mendoza wanted to come here and we totally ignored him ? Maybe he wanted to go play with his bro all along . Nobody knows the truth to whats going on lol

This is CIS, we know everything. In fact, I knew you were going to type this before you even knew you were going to type it. Think about that.....

Jeremiah Smith went to OSU because they’ve been producing NFL receivers for the past two decades. It had nothing to do with Portal v. HS QB. Our starter (who we signed from high school) was graduating, so there was no incumbent to sell him on anyway.

You still need to sign QBs that aren’t instant starters. Everybody carries at least three scholarship players at the position. The developmental QB can be from HS, or it can be a young QB in the Portal. Oregon got both Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore last year. But if I’m spending big money, I want a sure thing.
Does Miami get a QB from the portal that starts for us in 25?

And sometimes legitmate options and plans fall through as well.

We are running out of time, options, and plans.

Hopefully, the nuclear option saves us. Sark going to the NFL. The ripples would be massive.

The other one is Ryan Day. The Pats job opening. He is from New England and it’s well documented he isn’t a big fan of being in CFB or the Ohio State Job. My buddy is a Ohio State fan and he is shocked he’s still the coach. If the win I think he is out

I just feel like he’s a distant candidate behind Ben Johnson and Vrabel, and if Vrabel wants the Pats job, he’s getting it (assuming Johnson says no first).

Why would beck come here? Better question, why would Georgia let him go?
Several reasons:

1. Stockton played well vs ND although his o-line was terrible. Seriously, go back and watch that game. Considering the context (ie ND's great defense, UGA's lack of offensive talent and poor o-line) Stockton played a superb game.

2. Now that Stockton proved that he can be the #1 guy, do you bring back a question mark (ie Beck's elbow) and committing NIL to him and also to Stockton (to keep him around), or do you save Beck's NIL money and put it towards other players (like the new WR from A&M they just received a commitment from).

Yes. Another possibility: Matt Campbell to Da Bears.

I knew you'd type this before your parents conceived you. And you're probably older than me so my parents knew you would type this and passed it down to me!

He's not very high on their list lmfao. A lot of people would have had to turn them down if he were to get hired haha

I'm curious who is on their list. NFL coaches these days are skewing real young (prior coordinator experience in pros seems to be a guarantee for a HC job).

Wouldn't be surprised if bears have KK high on their list since he was at USC with Caleb.

With the amount of people they've been interviewing and also plan on interviewing, I wouldn't be surprised if you or I eventually make it on that list. They're interviewing just about everyone at this point. They even interviewed the Giants OC lol. I personally would be shocked if Campbell cracked their top 7, but I guess you never know

Torn here as a Bears fan I really want Ben Johnson to get the job to see what he can do with Caleb but I may be willing to take one for the team if it means the Canes could get a functional QB with experience that can complete a forward pass. Bears have sucked for most of the last 35 years or so what is a couple of more.
