Carson Beck

Listened to a UGA insider on local radio this AM.

-Talked about Coley's great recruiting at WR in portal, (I say $$$$ covers up bad production ha.)

-Said Beck isn't a leader of men, and Kirby had to publicly cover for him going out of his way multiple times this season. Eerily similar to TVD vibes when I heard him say that. Talked about the stark difference in that quality between Beck and Stetson Bennett.

-Talked about Damon Wilson was a big loss, he was ready to step in and start in that position, and insuiated Ohio State tampered.

-Said Stockton and the other QB they have will battle it out for QB1 next season, and they did make a run at Mendoza, but from all accounts UGA and Beck have moved on from each other.

But wait, we have a bunch of CIS geniuses who told me that he is soooo likely to go back to UGa.

For the record, I live in ATL, so I've heard plenty of anti-Beck sentiment from people up here for months.

outstanding work here.

Haven’t checked on Beck but other qb’s have reached out early on in the process .

At this point I take back all I said about Ewers and Beck. I would take either guy in a NY second and I apologize for speaking ill on both gentlemen. It’s likely both are gone but Beck is more realistic with the bum arm. His asking price is just a bit insane. If he were Cam then yeah sure.

This is a biproduct of not acting quickly in the portal. The later in the portal we're in, the more leverage the players have b/c they know teams like miami are desperate. No good/cheap way out of this for Miami but Mario made his bed with this.

UGA doesn't have a QB for next year. They can't afford to lose him. Kids are even taking less money to go to UGA these days.

Of course but we've been losing that messaging battle with every other SEC QB out there (Mateer, Arnold, et al). Maybe Cavinder will put us over the top. lol
Believe both sides are ready to move on - UGA and Beck. Would be surprised to see Beck return if he were to remove his name from draft. Beck returning would be uncomfortable and not a win with fan base. Gunner Stockton has bided his time and Kirby has indicated he’s ready. Similar to Stetson Bennett - mobility, tough kid, brings personality/leadership and decent arm.

UGA Loves Puglisi. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he's their QB1. Which is why they probably trying to load up at WR.

If we have, one would have to imagine we have legitimate options or plans. Right? Right?!!!!!

And sometimes legitmate options and plans fall through as well.

We are running out of time, options, and plans.

Hopefully, the nuclear option saves us. Sark going to the NFL. The ripples would be massive.

How much credence do you give the Sark to NFL smoke?

Which presupposes that we have a coach capable of thinking critically, which we clearly do not.

I think he is a strong candidate. All he needs is for one team to take a shot on college-to-pros for this to happen, he doesn't need to interview for five different jobs.

Right now, it's my primary hope in order for things to change rapidly within the next few weeks.

But imagine the huge ripples that would arise from trying to fill the job at Texas.

That would be wild and I'd love to see it!
