Would you rather try and win games 21-17 or 42-38 every week?

There’s two lines of thinking regarding Miami’s defense. The first one is that they have talent in the front seven but really struggled on the back end and that a handful of portal DBs could help them make the jump back to respectability. If that’s the case, the additions they’ve already made through the portal combined with a bunch of highly ranked recruits who are ready for starting roles should get the defense back to where it needs to be. In which case, adding a great quarterback would mean they’ll win games 42-20 instead of 21-20.

The other line of thinking is that Miami is bereft of talent on defense and none of the four and five star prospects they signed are good. If that’s the case, it’s going to take a lot more than a handful of portal guys to make this a good defense. They would have to replace almost everyone which is near impossible to do in a single offseason. If that’s the case, Miami’s ONLY option is to go all in on another star quarterback to try to outscore everyone again like they did in 2024.

There’s literally zero reason to not go after a great quarterback. Playing Emory Williams or Judd Anderson isn’t going to make our defense pitch shutouts every week. We’d just lose 42-17 every week instead having shootouts.

I thought that we would match up really well against them. I like Cam/Dawson in a shootout against Mike Bobo. Georgia doesn’t have the skill position players on offense to keep pace and they don’t have the dominant offensive line to grind the game down.

In what Universe does Miami have a better OL & better RB's than UGA?

If Martinez returns I think there’s no question with Fletcher and Lyle that’s a top 5 RB room in the country. Georgia finished the season 96th in the nation in rushing. Georgia’s O-Line was good this year, but Miami’s O-Line unit was up for the Joe Moore award and once again is ranked by PFF as a top ten unit. WR, we’re going to have to see how much all the losses impact, but one of the main criticisms UGA fans have had towards the offense is a lack of talent at WR. Also, OC is no comparison. So yea, right now I would absolutely take our offense over Georgia’s so I guess we’ll agree to disagree. Now if we’re talking defense that’s a WHOLE other conversation lol.

I could not agree more. It honestly ****es me off that Georgia Tech choked that game. With 5:50 remaining, GT was out gaining them 460 yards to 260. And don't even get me started with Tennessee.. most over ranked team in the CFP.

Georgia has a slim chance to get past ND and PSU.. and if their luck continues, they won't beat Oregon or Osu
