Carson Beck

I have watched him prob as much as any qb not named cam and he is a definite no. Dude is just not good. If he wasn't on Georgia he would have thrown almost as many picks as he has tds. Georgia looked better with their back up.

I feel like UGA had very weak skill talent this year. Last year he had a cheat code with Bowers and Ladd both were elite college players but this year itā€™s been crap from what Iā€™ve watched.

Agree. The Cavinders donā€™t look like the type to step foot in a kitchen.

Beck is being graded on a harsh curve based on his preseason projection (#1 overall) and our QB this year (the best in America).

The guy would be a very good and experienced ACC quarterback, assuming his elbow bounces back like Brock Purdy.
Sure, but then it becomes a Performance/Ability vs Cost decision. He's there with Ewers , where they will command very large NIL, yet not produce much more than Mendoza at likely double the rate. I mean I'd take Ewers over Beck for sure though.

Like if I said Mendoza + Singleton or the top NT in the portal vs just Beck/Ewers, and every other addition were the same, who are you taking? And that's not just Mendoza, I'm sure Chandler Morris can be flipped for less, Sawyer Robertson could probably be lured for less, etc

How is it a harsh curve if he was projected to be the #1 QB in the country?

The fact that he didn't live up to the billing means he's not as good as he was perceived to be.

Thats not a harsh curve, that's an accurate assessment.

He was inconsistent for sure and the 12 picks hurts his case but do you think some of that is scheme related due to bobo. Or did he simply regress?

It would be an easy Yes for us.

I agree that he didnā€™t live up to that billing. Heā€™s not that guy.

What Iā€™m saying is that if we apply a different standard (improvement over the current room, gives us a chance to win our national games and the ACC), he is good enough.

If he were to come my only suggestion would be to leave ****** leg sleeve with you at UGA. Lookin a little too cool out there for my liking even though I think he is an above average college qb who would be a good 1 year rental. Nickel looks like the real deal and ready to roll his 2nd year.
