seems like purdy took about 4.5 months to be back 100%, if beck has a similar recovery he should be good right around the spring game to start practicing full go

Same people that thought Lamar should move to receiver, can’t qwhite put my finger on it.
Bill Polian calling him a running back and saying he was short (???) was just insane. Between him, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen that draft was an all timer for being able to immediately tell who watched film and who just looked at stats/went with narratives.

It’s how Daniel Jones goes in the Top 10 but someone like Lamar falls to the end of the 1st, these people don’t even realize they’re doing it. ****, people do it on this site too.

That assumes he would’ve been eligible to play. Jeff proved what he was his whole life. All the talent in the world and certainly capable of putting up big numbers, but he was a clown and still is. He’s washed out every place he’s been. There’s a reason for that.
Jeff Thomas problems wasn't qb play at UM. It was the man in the mirror and he still blaming other people

Georgia QB Carson Beck, the top-ranked overall player in the Portal, has committed to Miami.

Beck is 24-3 over his last two years as a starter and has thrown for 7,426 yards (68.4%) with 52 touchdowns and 18 INTs. He also ran for 187 yards and 5 TDs.

A member of the 2020 class, Beck will turn 24 during the season and brings tremendous experience to Miami's quarterback room. A 6'4, 230-pound passer with a verified 4.40 shuttle in high school, Beck was projected as a first-round pick before the season and was still a likely Day 1-2 pick prior to an elbow injury that ended his season. He is expected to resume throwing in spring.

Beck was one of the most efficient QBs in America in 2023, throwing for 3,941 yards, 24 TDs and 6 INTs with a spectacular 9.5 yards per attempt. Following the departure of his two top weapons to the NFL, Beck's production slipped to 3,485 yards, 28 TDs and 12 INTs in 2024. Georgia led the nation in drops, and its running game collapsed from 17th in the nation in yards per game to 102nd.

The Canes return four starting OL and two of their top QBs and will be major players for a big-time WR add in the spring Portal session.

Champions of the offseason once again!! Offseason is longer than the regular season so there’s that.

Last time I checked he had Malik rosier, nkosi Perry , Jarren Williams Tate Martell throwing passing to him. I mean he didn’t tell a lie or what we all have been thinking plus it was just a joke on his part. No jeff Thomas wasn’t a perfect person off the field at Miami, but in that same vein better qb play he would have put up some huge numbers. 2 things can be true

I think it is a better option for us. If he’s hurt or doesn’t come back right then it’ll be those two guys anyhow, unless Emory leaves, but it’s worth the chance that Beck is able to play. Emory is unplayable from what I saw. I don’t see that we had a ton of options and this is a pretty decent one… a multi-year starter at UGA.
Judd will pass Emory!! Bookmark this.
