It’s basically things evening out

Miami was early on the NIL game

Some of these other places took their time but you see what happens when other places decide to go all in

Stubbs to UF- Top 100 player - Saftey
Nix to Oregon- 4 star- LB
TIm Merrit to Tennessee - 3 Star- CB
Toney to TBD - 4 star WR

It’s crazy, Mario needs the portal to land a big time QB, Slot WR to replace X, starting C (again), probably 2 big time Safeties, 2 real CBs, and probably a starting caliber LB too

O and he needs to hit on his DC hire

That’s a lot of requirements for us to be successful next year (another 10+ win season)

This board is starting to read like the UF board for 2 classes before this one.

A lot of roster holes heading into year 4 for someone that was supposed to address a slew of recruiting issues we had under previous staffs…

Wallace and Antoine this year. Both probably on the shelf until 2026 in terms of playing on Saturdays

Wallace probably longer if he's ever even the same.

I’ll also say that Stubbs going to UiF doesn’t bother me. Billy is actually a worse coach than Mario and they are desperate

Nix flipping to Oregon is interesting though. I wasn’t a big fan of Nix but I didn’t see him a lot

If Oregon thought that highly of him then I’m probably wrong on that one

Stubbs tried to leverage us and didnt work.
Nix had legit concerns about defensive staff. I wish him best.
Merritt was not really committed for a long time.
Toney is being pursed by UF to try and make up for losing Dallas Wilson and French (he did the stubbs thing but Texas seemed to counter)

We PAID to keep Moore.

You don’t get to live in the past in recruiting. You’re only as good as your last class and we failed this year.

Let’s recap…pound podium in a low E kind of way after sluggish W over rival

Get bodied by a team who could only run the ball after “shutting” down everything in hopes to finish out season

Drop last game after going up 21-0

Get bodied on recruiting day at the one thing our Hc was supposed to be great at

This is a failure and it’s all Mario’s making. Recruiting is a narrative and because he’s a failure and over thinks everything our HC let others define the narrative (next years fsu) instead of defining the narrative himself.

I had people tell me they thought nix was low ceiling. I like the kid. I wish him the best.
