59 against VMI
41 against UNC

As bad as our defense is, it's nowhere near as bad as those three listed above. It's not like GT's offense is lighting up even average defenses. I don't think GT scores more than 3 TD's and they cant keep up with our offense.

I do realize that, and it's not something I'm just trying to brush aside. At some point, the defense has to put together a good game plan for 4 quarters and tackle better. Our defense cant stop anybody from midway thru the 1st quarter until midway thru the 3rd qtr, but then plays lights out for the last 20 minutes of the game (minus Louisville and VT).

I could be wrong and GT might have an offensive explosion. They have been really bad the last 2 games. King not playing in those game may have had something to do with that. He's banged up for this game. If we can't even slow them down, then we have worse problems on defense than we can imagine.

Duke scored 45 against MTSU. The didn’t get out of the 20’s against any other team until they played Miami. They scored 26 points in three consecutive games against Elon, Northwestern, and UConn.

That's true. I'm banking on Guidry not having the defense play man for most of the game. We tend to do a little better playing more of a zone concept. I mean, its pretty obvious to me we stink in man coverage.
