Granted, we were playing bums. Dominating Ball State and FAMU should be a given. USF gave us fits for a half, but then we shut them down. I'm not bragging about those performances.

I think the UF game got us hyped up for what we thought the defense could be all year. Although Florida is not a good team, they are competitive. We pretty much handled them outside of the Montrell Johnson run. Regardless, I'm trying to stay positive that the defense will have one more solid game out of these next 3 games. If not, we are in trouble if we get to the ACCCG or playoffs.

Ball State, FAMU, uf and usf. We played 3 G5 schools and an HBCU. The performances in those games mean nothing.

last week and the week before were the opps lol. duke and FSU were the worst offenses wed see all year. FSU was horrific as expected so good job D you didnt blow it. duke holy ****. made them look like the 99 rams

Miami has had a chance to do that to Duke, Louisville and possibly Va Tech before the Cam redzone INT.

Each of those games they were up multiple scores and then just went flat in the 2nd quarter.

Not sure what’s happening in the 2nd but for once it would be nice to take a team completely out of it before half.

Our team has outscored P4 teams 259 - 179.

2nd quarter team has been outscored 69-50.

Oh, come on now. I agree that Ball State, FAMU, and USF aren't good games to gauge the status of our defense, but UF is at least competitive.

UF is down this year for sure. They are not good. I am not disputing that. However, they are competitive. They were at full strength when we played them. I'm not saying our defense put on a show that game, but they played very well. From the D-line, linebackers, secondary, they all performed at a high level for the most part. Solid in every area. The linebackers and secondary weren't missing tackles and pursued well to the ball

All I'm saying is if all 3 levels of the defense can have a solid performance against a competitive (I'm not saying UF is good) team, surely we can do it again against a team with similar status. It happened before, why can't it happen again?

FSU and UF are so bad they make our ****** defense appear statistically average
